at Nunobiki Kogen, Fukushima, Japan

The western United States has been in a drought for several years, but now we're finally receiving much-needed rain and snow. It has caused some problems, such as flooding and mud slides. It's also brought many beautiful sights: like this rainbow mist from Folsom Dam in Folsom, California. Thanks be to God for the rain and snow ... and prayers for those negatively impacted.

In 2012 the transformer station at Oberhafen Hamburg has been launched. It supplies around 12,000 citizens, mainly living in Hafen City. The girl walking by is useful to judge the size of the building.

This is the view to the east, with the Northern Luzon mountain range in the background, and the tip of Bangui Bay in the lower left. This image shows 9 of the 15 turbines of Bangui Bay.

These 15 wind turbines(called Vestas NM82) provide a total of almost 25 MW of power and is part of the Luzon Island grid in the Philippines. Height of these windmills is 70 meters. Each of the three blades has a length of 41 meters. The wind swept area of the rotors is approximately 5,280 square meters. Each windmill is 326 meters apart, almost 1/3 of a kilometer.

Location of the turbines is at Pebble Beach, on the shores of Bangui Bay, Ilocos Norte province. These turbines is the first power plant of its kind in the Philippines and Southeast Asia.

A floating power generator anchored in the Port of NoumƩa harbour.

As of 06 January 2023 Orhan Bey is supplying SLN-Eramet Doniambo ferronickel production unit NoumƩa, New Caledonia with electricity.

The plant owned by Karadeniz Powership Co., Istanbul, Turkey can generate 203 MW and was built in August 2013 by Sedef Shipyard in Tuzla, Istanbul.

The floating electricity generating plant named Orhan Bey replaced a 50-year-old plant that supplied The Nickel Society (SNL) NoumƩa facility.

The power ship is a special purpose power plant installed to serve as a power generating resource.

The ship is the first of its kind in the south Pacific and it arrived in New Caledonia 25 August 2022.

The power plant is operated by Turkish and New Caledonian technicians.

The plant floats in the water near the nickel factory in Doniambo, Noumea.

The plant emits 30 percent less C02 and emits less sulphur dioxide emissions and is quieter in operation than the old plant.

Karpowership is an enterprise of Turkish and German governments and the first business to make ships of this type.

The power ship was built to supply power to Lebanon in 2013. The contract expired September 2021 when ƉlectricitĆ© du Liban owed Karpowership overdue payments in excess of $100 million. Powership stopped its Lebanon supplies 01 October 2021.

The Water wheel powered an electric generator. The old ranch was the first in the area to have electricity.. The light could be seen from a long ways off

The grand waterfall of Slap Savica and it's hydroplant. This is in Slovenia.

This Siemens AG 170 kW (hydroelectric) generator has been built and installed 1912 (according to Wikipedia) and up until today powers the former hunting lodge of bulgarian tsar Ferdinand and his son Boris III. The lodge consist of multiple buildings in various european architectural styles, a chapel, all located in a beautiful park near the little town of Borovets in Bulgaria.

Having had no tripod with me i needed to shoot the 3 exposures for this HDR by putting the camera on the windowsill of the building.
