An old storage shed in Cat Spring.....complete with rusted metal siding, electrical wires, a power cord, string, rusted sign, aging wooden door and an empty Dr. Pepper can. Almost forget the hay!

My stepfather had died a few months prior. He was a truck driver with an interest in motor sports. This is inside his workshop/shed. A place I had only set foot in once or twice in the time my parents lived in this house.
I have no idea of the significance of the numbers on the car door panels?
One of several projects, that explore photography as evidence amongst other ideas.

Actually the original picture showed me that my black phone case was picking up grey tones from its pebbly finish, so back to the drawing board

We had a brief power outage today and didn't expect it to come back as fast as it did. Shizandra knew something wasn't right!
During this weekend's clean-up I decided to pull the heater out of my pond. I'm excited to report all my happy little fish did endure the winter.

I went through som old photos and found this one. It is captured in one of the most beautiful areas in Norway, but a combination of light during the dark season and a moving mist gave this photo a special expression.
In the first week or so of Dec 2025, this Western Fence Lizard had noticed that the cooler temps winter were getting ready to hit SoCal. He was preparing for a typical, long winter's rest -- brumation (kinda like hibernation for reptiles).
I don't spend much time in the garage, but I'm there at least a couple times a day. During the first two weeks of Dec 2025 I saw him wandering in a different spot about every other day. Then he disappeared for a few days. Before long I accidentally came across the peaceful, out-of-the-way place he'd picked for brumation. More on that with the next couple photos.
Seriously, dear, time to upgrade. I know your computer technically still works, but nowadays they come powered by electricity instead of a hamster wheel. It is sooo much more useful and less prone to starvation when pressed into server duty.

My first Photoshop entry for my Flickr stream. I'm anti-Photoshop when it comes to public works and my photos (Don't get me wrong, I love Photoshop). I believe that an image should be as natural as possible, like the real world intended BUT I've forgone with the ehtics and produced the above image.
Please do not ask me where I got those fancy transparent screens.
Best viewed as a LARGE image.

A view from the port side of ms Noordam parked at the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Sidney Harbour looks right into restaurant Quay. Don't reserve lunch here on cruise ship in port days, your Opera House view will be obstructed - like in zero.
Earlier I saw her ironing the table clothes but she turned away as soon as she spotted my camera. Beat her to the punch this time !
The Quay Restaurant:
Looky-loos from the cruise ship can stare right into Quay Reataurants dining room at close quarters - works both ways. Check the cruise ship schedule before booking. Some days the outlook is blocked by the bloated cruise ships parked at the overseas passenger terminal like today.
The dining room juts out like an eyrie overlooking Sydney Harbour, with full view of the Opera House and bridge.
Quay comes with a big reputation. As well as being one of Australia’s most decorated restaurants it’s regularly included on lists of Australia’s top restaurants.
Eating there is on a lot of people’s bucket list.
Quay is expensive (like $375 for two plus tip). But, if you want a big treat, you get what you pay for here: amazing views, excellent (and very unobtrusive) service and a menu comprising the best of seasonal produce, painstakingly prepared without being finicky, so they say.
