Believe it or not I do have a rust pot of rusted items especially for challenges like this! I used the oxidised under side of the glass jar in the background to create the orange hue.
At least according to to Google Lens that what this is.

A pair of former Milwaukee motors and a C:P Dual Flag lead 271 under stormy skies south of La Crescent, 10 years ago today. This train had broken in two a bit north of New Albin and got back on the move just in the nick of time. To this day, I've never had repeat experience with this kind of lighting.
At this point in time, the Marquette Sub was still a fairly quiet piece of railroad, with 270/271 the only pair of trains to regularly ply these rails. Although, on occasion CP would throw in an extra unit train. A decade later and this is now a vital link in the new CPKC network. Pretty amazing considering that the Milwaukee Road embargoed this route in the early 80's for 3-4 years.
I've been away for almost a month, and I'm still pretty busy at work, but I sure did miss you all!! I just had to post one, just to see if I remembered how :)

Ingredients: Milk, Eggs, Flour, Fresh Frozen Sour Cherries, Lemon Zest, Green Salt, Vanilla Extract. No Sugar.
One day before baking the pie, place Cherries in a strainer on the top of a pot to collect the juice. Drink the Juice.
In Florida, I do not find fresh sour cherries, so I had to order online Fresh Frozen Sour Cherries, which were excellent.
I took my crutches for a walk around the garden yesterday and, over the fence, found this beautiful acer in in a pot in my neighbour's garden

My daughter joined a pottery class last year for the very first time. After weeks of classes she finally came home with lots of little pots, then more little pots each week. She finally gave up after failed attempts at making, or should I say throwing, other objects. After a few months she began to throw away lots of her imperfect little pots. I of course found some to be quite interesting in their own way so she gave them to me, this is the smallest of them measuring just under 2.5 inches wide and 1.5 inches high. Her partner would say each week "oh no, not more pointless pots" but luckily she saw the funny side:-) HMM

Right place, right time. I grabbed my camera on the way out of the door as I was hoping the sky might "do something"...It did!
