I thought today was my 25th blood donation but they said it was my 23rd, but I'll take it. Thank you to nurse Jess for taking this photo. There is something to giving just for the sake of it. I remember the first time I volunteered at the food bank with a friend, I am not even sure how to explain it, but I felt so good. I was doing something good just to do it. I started donating blood quite a few years ago when a friend told me about it and will continue to as long as I am able.
Today was a great day! I felt like people were told to be nice to me. But then I start to ponder positive thinking and the laws of attraction. I watched a video by SoulPancake about gratitude a little while ago and think they are onto something. www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHv6vTKD6lg
As I see it, if you are happy, you look for the good and happy in things. If you are miserable and expecting the day to continue down that path, you will look for the negative and unhappy in things. Where the gratitude experiment comes in is that when someone says thank you or that they appreciate the work you have done, you need to accept that. If you just brush it off as no big deal then you also brush off the appreciation that person is trying to offer you. Accepting thanks is accepting that you did something good, that made someone else happy or that they appreciated. You did a good job. So why do we brush it aside like its not big deal, because it is a big deal. Okay maybe not a big deal, but you are influencing and affecting others everyday with all your interactions, no matter how big or small.
Accept the gratitude others are giving you, and make sure you let others know when you appreciate them. A quote I used previously sums this up perfectly, "being connected in a shallow way to the entire world can prevent us from being deeply connected to those closest to us—including ourselves. And that is where wisdom is found. -Arianne Huffington, Thrive". If we are always only half way in a face to face conversation because we also halfway in a text conversation with 3 other people at the same time. How can we appreciate what others are saying? Distracted driving is a law here and people swear it is worse than drunk driving, but we do it at dinner, in meetings, while visiting with friends. Time to put in the time for those you love. They will appreciate you for it and you will have much more meaningful conversations and relationships. We are so worried about being connected that we seem to be barely holding onto a thousand things. Wouldn't it be better to have a strong hold on a significantly smaller number of things that truly matter to you? And I am sure that some of us use technology and social media and being so busy as an excuse. It is scary to sit quietly and just listen to your mind. We need to learn patience and how to slow down, relax and enjoy life as it comes. Do you really need your phone in a meeting? No? They put it in your desk drawer, see how it feels.

Introduction “The Stairway to Heaven Manuscript” – Blueprint to communicate with Infinite Intelligence…………… “I took 3 nights and 3 days off of work, to step by step find out why I ended up where I did, and what I was like in the past — there were a series of beliefs about changes, and problem solving, and crisis management, etc etc that were tied to negative beliefs, not positive — since you can’t change the past, the only way this could be done would be to change certain beliefs about types of events, and place them in a certain sequence working from the present to the past, systematically having all past experiences not have effected me at all. — I got to the sequence of changes needed, and found them to be “in theory” correct. Then I had to believe that if I could adopt these beliefs, in the order I had written, that they would work / instantly HEAL my Depression problem. I had to also believe that my mind would accept these new beliefs without question, and that I had come up with a way to fix all issues at once, and most importantly, the plan would work.

it used to be that danish comedians could blatantly steal their material from "the outside world" and no one would ever notice, because no one paid attention to danish television or cinema, and, at the same time, most danes were clueless about what has was happening outside of denmark (which is still pretty much the case today, but the same thing could be said about many americans).
thanks to the net, cheaper travel, and a greater dominance of global television, the world has gotten smaller and people here are finally starting to discover that their homegrown talent, their so-called comic genuises, are nothing more than frauds, fakes, and imposters; as the sources from which they borrowed from are finally staking their rightful claim to the creative material that has been stolen from them.
the headline on the top says dirch's cultural canon was a copy. the story behind this is that famous comedian and cultural icon dirch passer, who has had segments of his comedy routines earmarked as part of denmark's cultural canon, is accused of finding his key material elsewhere while passing it off as his own. more importantly, this particular comedy routine has been cited as being essentially danish.
many people have known that television personality casper christensen "borrows" pretty much all of his material from other entertainers, amongst them larry david, david letterman, dennis miller, pee wee herman, and british comedians, chris evans, vic reeves, and bob mortimer; and above, the corresponding headline says tv series Clown is strongly "inspired" by american tv show.
casper christensen does not have one original bone in his body, and now, with the discovery of dirch passer's transgressions, it has become all too clear that this very popular comic legend has also turned the same trick, this time taking his material from an american comedian named art metrano.
good riddance. maybe this will inspire a search for true and original danish talent (of which there are many) and not the kind of second rate, too eager to please talent that feels that the only way that they can be good enough, is if they steal their material from someone else and claim it as their own.
grrrr....
...and now, back to being a positive, happy person...

Introduction “The Stairway to Heaven Manuscript” – Blueprint to communicate with Infinite Intelligence…………… “I took 3 nights and 3 days off of work, to step by step find out why I ended up where I did, and what I was like in the past — there were a series of beliefs about changes, and problem solving, and crisis management, etc etc that were tied to negative beliefs, not positive — since you can’t change the past, the only way this could be done would be to change certain beliefs about types of events, and place them in a certain sequence working from the present to the past, systematically having all past experiences not have effected me at all. — I got to the sequence of changes needed, and found them to be “in theory” correct. Then I had to believe that if I could adopt these beliefs, in the order I had written, that they would work / instantly HEAL my Depression problem. I had to also believe that my mind would accept these new beliefs without question, and that I had come up with a way to fix all issues at once, and most importantly, the plan would work.

Ada sedikit cerita mengenai hewan yang biasa disebut Kelelawar atau Kalong atau Codot ini, setau saya ini adalah hewan pemakan buah.
Kronologisnya: selepas magrib Malam Jumat minggu ini tgl 7/5/2015, Akrom yang baru datang dari sholat berjamaah di masjid Al-Istiqomah dan seperti biasa kemudian membuka laptopnya, sedangkan Aishah sibuk dengan boneka mainannya,tiba2 mereka berteriak2 dan masuk ke kamar, sambil bilang ada kelelawar masuk rumah.
Spontan saya terkesiap, dan menyuruh anak2 masuk kamar dan saya menutup pintunya.dan benar saja kelelawar itu terbang berputar-putar di dalam rumah,beberapa kali terbang ke lantai 2 kemudian turun lagi,hingga akhirnya si Kelelawar menemukan persinggahannya yaitu di kabel listrik yang tergantung diruang tamu.
Yang terpikir saat itu adalah memotretnya buwahahaha, saya ambil kamera,serta tripod dan mulai memotretnya.Saat itu lensa 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro yang melekat di kamera, dan ternyata setelah beberapa kali shoot hasil kurang memuaskan, detail wajah dan sekitarnya yang menjadi target saya tidak saya dapatkan (mungkin karena atap yang tinggi dan lighting agak remang di ruang tamu),akhirnya langsung saya replace dengan lensa Canon EF70-200mm f/2.8L USM dan saya taruh di tripod,dan kemudian mulai memotret yang benar dugaan hasilnya beda jauh, tajam pakai banget dan sesuai dengan yang saya inginkan (pelajaran yang diperoleh memang lensa ada kegunaan,tujuan dan situasi masing-masing).
Setelah selesai memotret baru kepikiran loh kok kelelawar bisa masuk rumah ada apa ini???, akhirnya mulai tanyak sama mbah google dan mendapatkan beberapa link yang saya bookmark, 2 link menunjukkan hal negatif dan 1 satu link menunjukkan hal positif.

Tapi intinya saya hanya percaya pada Allah Swt. Dan otak saya yang Inshaa Allah selalu berpikiran positif sesuai dengan tag saya diatas.
Akhirnya dengan dibantu anak2 (masing2 bertugas menjaga di pintu rumah dan masing2 pegang sendok besar dan garpu besar dari kayu)saya usir dengan mencoba berkomunikasi dengan si Kelelawar, maaf ya, kamu saya usir dari rumah ini, saya tau kamu mungkin lapar,saya ada buah-buahan,tapi gimana saya caranya saya kasih makan kamu,jadi sebaiknya kamu keluar ya dari rumah, sambil bawa sapu dan naik kursi membuka semua pintu, dan karena masih saja terbang berputar-putar dalam rumah,akhirnya saya gerpas pakai sapu, si Kelelawar jatuh dan saya dorong keluar ke garasi rumah, ketika terbang kembali, si kelelawar masih mencoba masuk rumah, terpaksa saya angkat sapu tentu saja dengan ijuk diatas untuk menandakan bahwa saya enggak mau lagi kamu datang kerumah ini lagi, rupanya si Kelelawar mengerti tanda ini, dan akhirnya pergi bebas ke luar halaman rumah.
