Ubicado al sur-este del golfo de Salerno, Paestum es un sitio arqueológico de gran importancia, reconocido por la Unesco como “Patrimonio de la Humanidad”.

Se encuentra en la localidad de Carpaccio en la provincia de Salerno.

Lo que es más sorprendente es la visión de tres majestuosos templos colocados en una llanura verde, que reflejan la luz de forma diferente según las horas y de las estaciones.

Muchos escritores, poetas y artistas como Goethe, Shelley, Canova y Piranesi estaban fascinados por el espectáculo que ha demostrado ser una fuente de inspiración para ellos.

Estos grandes edificios son un extraordinario ejemplo de estilo dórico.

El Templo de Hera, que se remonta al siglo VI aC, es el más antiguo.

El Templo de Neptuno (siglo V aC.), se parece a una enorme construcción hecha de travertino, con un cálido color dorado que varía en los diferentes momentos del día. Es una joya de la arquitectura dórica: majestuoso y al mismo tiempo elegante.

El templo de Ceres (siglo VI aC.), de hecho dedicado a la diosa Athena, en la época medieval se transformó en una iglesia y contiene, adosadas a la pared exterior, tres tumbas cristianas.

My efforts to get a great shot devolved into this odd, but somewhat interesting shot. The pros and technophiles will know what happened, but it is still an intriguing shot to me, even if by accident. Hint, turn off VR (vibration reduction) on your lens.
