There exist the older bridge previously which was known as Native Jetty Bridge. Upon its reaching to a bit dilapidated condition the KPT (Karachi Port Trust), the authority supervising the Karachi harbor affairs, consented for construction of a new bridge which is seen here and called as the Jinnah Bridge, which is now linking the city with the harbor.
The older bridge of Native Jetty is become obsolete however it is used nowadays as a food street, operated under the name of Port Grand (www.facebook.com/port.grand.karachi/info, www.portgrand.com/main 1/main-1.html), a place where people can come and enjoy the food as well as the shopping spree at a time..
