It was a rather grey but nevertheless decent light for these poppy images. Lighting was a bit difficult in some views but fairly even in others.
.. at the moment :)
Have a wonderful weekend, girls and boys !!
Thank you for all your visits, comments, favs and your friendship !!
When out for a bike ride last week I was delighted to see that a local farmer had planted a wildflower mix in the set-aside adjacent to his wheat crop.
Actually it was double delight since the only poppies that I had seen up to this point were some mega-sized cultivated ones in the sand dunes at Alnmouth which don't count as wildflowers in my book!
Taken back in May this year. Just love these flowers.
Thanks for all the kind comments and faves on my images. They are very much appreciated.
I tried, while not using Bev's tripod, to control the bright sunlight with a flower. It's always a surprise and a real thrill to find one of your images in Explore - thank you for your visits, favourites and comments, all are most appreciated!
I went hiking yesterday on a trail that usually has lots of California Poppies blooming this time of the year, but sadly, not much happening this year. A lot of other flowers are blooming now, but I only saw just a few poppies along the trail itself and all of them off the trail where I would not go for several reasons, number one being that it is a snake season. However, there was a mini super bloom of poppies near the parking lot. 😂
