Die "Tänzer" (im Bild nur 2+3 von 3) weisen das Element der verlängerten Gliedmaßen auf. Die Inspiration für dieses Stück stammt aus einer Zeit,in der Michal Gabriel Aikido praktizierte und stützt sich auf die Prinzipien der Energieumwandlung. Diese Figuren tanzen durch den Raum und hinterlassen eine Spur der Vitalität.
The "Dancers" (only 2+3 of 3 in the picture) feature the elongated limb element. The inspiration for this piece comes from a period when Michal Gabriel practiced Aikido and draws upon the principles of transforming energy. These characters dance through space, leaving in their wake a trail of vitality.

- A sari, saree, or shari is a female garment from the Indian subcontinent that consists of a drape varying from five to nine yards (4.5 metres to 8 metres) in length and two to four feet (60 cm to 1.20 m) in breadth that is typically wrapped around the waist, with one end draped over the shoulder, baring the midriff.
- Paithani is a variety of sari, named after the Paithan town in Aurangabad Maharashtra state, where they are woven by hand. Made from very fine silk, it is considered as one of the richest saris in India.
- In fancy saris patterns (embroidery) could be woven with gold or silver thread, which is called zari (or jari) work. Today, in most fabrics, zari is not made of real gold and silver, but has cotton or polyester yarn at its core, wrapped by golden/silver metallic yarn.
- My late wife bought this one in 1973 in Bombay (Mumbai) in the Indian States store at Queen's Road, as the original box tells me.

In de avond te diep in het glaasje gekeken en bedenken dat je het laatste drankje had moeten laten staan. Of in de vroege ochtend het gevoel hebben dat je nog in dromenland bent. Het zijn logische gedachten als je in Boxtel een enorme dinosaurus ziet staan op rotonde La Salle. Maar knipperen met je ogen of in je arm knijpen heeft geen zin, de dino staat er echt.
Op de rotonde in Boxtel staat een Styracosaurus. Het dier leefde 75 miljoen jaar geleden in het gebied van het huidige Canada, maar nu staart het je aan als je op de rotonde aan de Brederodeweg, Schijndelseweg en Vic. van Alphenlaan rijdt.
Het Oertijdmuseum heeft de Styracosaurus geplaatst op de rotonde in Boxtel.

A pretty polyester satin blouse, with draped sleeves and princess seams. Made from the Pendrell Blouse pattern, and worn with a Beignet skirt, also made by me!

I used to go to Fry's Electonics and buy four-packs of these. Now, they go through the permanent magnet eraser a few times and then they're landfill.
I reduced the original panorama. It came out HUGE. My poor old Macintosh gagged on it. The CPU usage was floored at 100%.

CasAnus by Joep van Lieshout
Collectie Verbeke Foundation
This polyester sculpture, a gigantic replica of the human digestive system was designed by the Dutch artist Joep Van Lieshout as an exclusive apartment. The raw natural shapes and colours stand in sharp contrast to the pristine white interior of the construction.
The room contains a double bed, a table, a shower and a toilet. CasAnus is also equipped with lightening, running water and electric heating.
One night in Joep Van Lieshout’s installation costs €120 for two people. Breakfast and access to the museum are included in the price.
