TWU Denton campus
Tievine (Tie Vine), Sharp-pod Morning Glory, Purple Bindweed, Ipomoea cordatotriloba var. cordatotriloba (Convolvulaceae) with a bee pollinator. This species of morning glory is native to the southeastern United States, Mexico, and South America.

It's a Western Honey Bee, I believe. And this little creature was definitely doing its job; it was one of many bees that were moving rapidly from blossom to blossom in a patch of wild asters.

It was a gloomy, overcast day off that I had a few days ago... When in doubt, I wander with the macro lens on and see what happens haha.

When weeding in my flower garden, I used to see white clover flowers as weeds. However, white clovers are a great source of nectar and pollen for honey bees. The plant flowers from May to September, and its long blooming period attracts bees and other pollinators. White clover is also high in nectar sugar, so bees often visit it before other nectar sources.

Macro shot using 11 mm extension tube. I was photographing flowers when this bee arrived. I had to get quite close with the extension tube so I was pleased I managed to get a well focused shot.
