I went to this Greenland about 15 minutes away, where was very close to my house I used to live, but, I didn't discover it till 30 years later. Anyway, I was looking for damselflies to shoot, but, NO, they're gone. Instead, I found some fungus to shoot.

Laetiporus sulphureus is generally rated as a good edible fungus (unless growing on wood such as Yew, which itself contains dangerous toxins that could be taken up by the fungus); however, it is best picked when young and moist.
A popular way of cooking this fungus is to cut it into slices, brush them with oil, and then fry them in breadcrumbs; serve with lemon juice. The taste is quite like chicken; however, although most people find this a good edible species a small minority find that it causes feelings of nausea. If frozen (uncooked), this fungus retains most of its flavour, and so it is a good species for storing in preparation for the winter months."

The fly agaric (Amanita muscaria) is a species of mushroom from the family of the beaded relatives. He is poisonous. The species, also known as the red flyworm, appears in Central Europe from June to winter, mainly from July to October.

While sago palms (Cycas revoluta) might look innocuous and inviting, the hardy plants are highly poisonous to both human beings and pets.
I don't know how to recognize mushrooms. I won't take the risk to taste them. So, I'm content with taking them in photography.

Oleander has historically been considered a poisonous plant because some of its compounds may exhibit toxicity, especially to animals, when consumed in large amounts. This is a picture of one of my recent walks. Since buttercups are now growing everywhere, I've tried to take interesting pictures of them, where I quite like this one since its bokeh looks to me as if it was painted with watercolors. Since buttercups are poisonous but beautiful flowers I entitled this picture poisonous beauty. Hope you like it!

Vingerhoedskruid (Digitalis purpurea), ook wel gewoon vingerhoedskruid genoemd, is een giftige tweejarige of meerjarige plant.
De plant komt in Nederland en België algemeen voor. Hij wordt ook wel in siertuinen gebruikt en zaait zich gemakkelijk uit. De plant komt in heel Europa voor en is daarbuiten bij geschikte omstandigheden vaak ingeburgerd. Geschikt biotoop is gekapte plekken in het bos en andere omgewerkte, een deel van de dag beschaduwde lichte gronden. Of het om wilde planten of verwilderde tuinplanten gaat is eigenlijk niet vast te stellen. In Nederlands Limburg en in de Achterhoek zou de wilde plant nog te vinden zijn. De witbloemige variant Digitalis purpurea 'Alba' heeft op de Nederlandse Rode lijst van planten gestaan.
De plant bevat de glycosiden: digoxine en digitoxine (digitaline) en is erg giftig. Digoxine wordt gewonnen uit de bladeren van tweejarige planten. Het werd veel gebruikt bij behandeling van bepaalde hartritmestoornissen en ook bij de behandeling van hartfalen. Deze toepassing is voor het eerst beschreven door de Engelse arts William Withering (1741-1799) uit Birmingham, die waarnam dat een kruidenmengsel van een lokale kruidengenezeres ("old Mother Hutton" uit Shropshire) zeer effectief was bij ernstig oedeem van de benen.

I spent this afternoon looking for lilies-of-the-valley which are starting to bloom here. Most blossoms aren't open yet, but there is already a wonderful scent in the air --you'd never think they're that highly poisonous.
(So if you're looking for a more natural alternative to injecting disinfectant into your veins 😱😂... Mother Nature has you covered. -Why do I keep being stunned at this level of imbecility?)
