thank you Stevie Wonder
Northern Harriers are like poetry in motion when they are hunting- they glide and turn effortlessly, and can hover over an area so they can listen for small rodents on the ground. This female was patrolling the fields at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge on a cool winter afternoon.
This is either yesterday's Coyote or its sibling. My car was parked along the Ecotour Road, no other vehicles in sight; nights are colder now, not many campers or even day trippers. I had one coyote on my right, and another resting, farther away to my left on slightly elevated ground, in a prairie dog town. It finally got up and trotted through some sagebrush, toward the road, while I tracked it through the telephoto.
And then in a flash it veered toward me, targeting something in the dry grass: two bounding leaps, an elegant pounce, and it nailed a nice, juicy vole. Fast food on the prairie!

I had no telephoto or other long lens with me so my trusty Macro lens came to the rescue again. Being in essence 105mm in length I managed this shot. The dark line on the actual ocean is caused by a cloud formation and not put there during processing. I sat on a bank above Booby's Bay and got a series of six all hand held so I was quite pleased to get these shots...
Life is all about sunshine and shadows though and I return today with a shot representative of that and for all the silver surfers out there and their offspring who may become the next generation surfers....
I'm a huge fan of clouds & I loved the shape & smoothness of these beauties! I hope you all like them too! Enjoy your day my friends =)

A Beautiful Sunrise...
A Boat Beneath a Sunny Sky
In a Wonderland they lie,
Dreaming as the days go by,
Dreaming as the summers die:
Ever drifting down the stream —
Lingering in the golden gleam —
Life, what is it but a dream?
Lewis Carroll

I passed through trees. Inside their wooden samurai armor they are geisha beauties, each one a 'person-of-the-art,' limbs dancing, arranging flowers, carrying the wind's music, the calligraphy of their roots pure poetry, rhyming earth and berth.
~A.A. Attanasio, "Fractal Blood Soul," 2007
Shot at sunrise at the racetrack, during a series of fast-paced training rides. To emphasize the speed, I used a fairly slow shutter speed along with panning to create a rush of motion blur.

I didn’t expect this.
Not the way a conversation could stretch into hours,
not the way someone could arrive and quietly rearrange my days.
Now there’s that feeling.
The one you get before a message comes through.
The one that sits low in your chest when I see him after work.
Butterflies, steady and unafraid, like they know they belong here.
Trent is affection without performance, intelligence that listens,
a presence that feels chosen, not accidental.
He’s folded into my world so naturally
my friends, my family, my ordinary moments
that loving him feels less like falling
and more like remembering.
This is what it looks like when something real begins.
Soft. Certain. Alive.

Captured in 2001 with a Nikon F100 and Kodak Ektachrome 100 Professional film.
Underneath a velvet sky, the Sydney Opera House blooms like a rare flower in a celestial garden, its golden petals reflecting a thousand memories on the harbor's edge. This film photograph, a timeless echo from the millennium's turn, invites us to drift along the currents of light and shadow, finding beauty in the silent embrace of the night.
I'm completely in love with this beautiful photo, a truly special gift from my dearest friend, Anu.
She has such an incredible eye for capturing a moment, and I'm so grateful for her talent and our wonderful, happy friendship.
It's an honor to be a part of the Muse Dance Co family with her!
A pinwheel exposed to the wind, in motion, yet with its center still. Around it, everything can vibrate, spin, change direction, lose its outline. But there is an inner point that remains steady, centered, irreducible. I worked on the image to strengthen this perception, letting the pinwheel become not only an object moved by the air, but also a symbolic figure of inner resistance. More than telling the story of the wind, this photograph speaks of what the wind cannot carry away.
"... do le mie parole al vento
perché le porti fino a rocce lontane,
giungeranno ai velieri
voleranno con i gabbiani,
ci sarà solo un faro che batte
l'ondeggiare di una bottiglia sul mare
e stelle sul blu a illuminare
le onde che ti chiamano."
-Romeo Giuli

Low spring tide on the beach is the best place for 40mph dogs, but he was a little miffed that she was a bit faster than him.
This is a merge of three shots. I didn't really clone them or train six to run in formation!

More than one-quarter of the Netherlands is below sea level and about 81% of the coast consists of sand dune or beach. The shoreline is closely monitored by yearly recording of the cross section at points 250 meters apart, to ensure adequate protection. Where erosion is identified, beach nourishment ("zandsuppletie") using high-capacity suction dredgers is deployed - such as here in Westenschouwen, Zeeland.
Hmm, not sure I've got the hang of this panning thing just yet; think that this may be bit of a fail, but I like the colours and the impressionistic blur of light on the leaves (and it's the best of the bunch, lol!).
I stopped off at a favourite spot today so that I could get some panning shots, and to reflect whilst doing so, as I had a meeting in town this morning about the possibility of my doing some photos for a themed event … gulp! ARGH!

A moment,
as light as summer air.
Two voices,
woven into laughter
that echoes beyond the stone.
No secrets,
just joy,
etched in smiles
and held in hearts.

The world fades when you are near,
Space and time become unclear
Light bends softer round your name,
Even shadows lose their claim.
so let the stars forget their track,
I won't ask for the cosmos back.
For in your presence, it's all right
To lose the world and find the light
my pink princess has turned orange. i'm totally in love with this flower, (who's true colour is really pink) it's all over my front garden and it's the first thing i see when i go out in the morning. So i messed around with her a bit and changed her colour. Pink is still my fav tho :)

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: (Lyrics)
Let there be peace on earth And let it begin with me.
Let there be peace on earth The peace that was meant to be. With God as our Father Brothers all are we. Let me walk with my brother In perfect harmony.
Let peace begin with me Let this be the moment now. With every step I take Let this be my solemn vow. To take each moment And live each moment In peace eternally. Let there be peace on earth And let it begin with me.
Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
HOPE YOUR DAY IS FILLED WITH THAT WONDERFUL PLACE CALLED "PEACE"
A real memory., The first time I stood before a crowd and read my poetry aloud. Nervous, shaking, trying to breathe…then realizing they were listening.👏
I turned that feeling into art, ...my way. 😃
Still learning. Still creating. Still speaking. ♥

My first time reading my poetry in front of a crowd @Verse & Vinyl Lounge in SL.
My face was flushed as I clicked my mic on. My Ultra shy nerves- was shot. The breath before the first word…then realizing they were leaning in..- listening.
My Poem: "Let me speak on the hues of my skin" was the hook
This is my visual story ♥

The flame called it a night—but the smoke? It stuck around, twirling like it had one last story to tell. A little drama, a little grace, and poof—just air again. Funny how even endings know how to put on a show.
Ever caught yourself watching something disappear?
What a joy it is to feel the soft, springy earth under my feet
once more, to follow grassy roads that lead to ferny brooks
where I can bathe my fingers in a cataract of rippling notes,
or to clamber over a stone wall into green fields that tumble
and roll and climb in riotous gladness!
