Film Photography Podcast - Episode 331 - youtu.be/fIXzPiQ9KPM?si=YYNJj6L2bBLxNRAM

Mat Marrash hosts this exciting episode, airing on the 15th anniversary of the FPP and recorded at the annual Photography Pro Show, covering topics such as “why now is the most exciting time to shoot film,” as well as interviews with Tim Ryugo from Kodak, Matt Parry and Hilary Freed from Harman Photo / Ilford Film and Meredith Reinker, Cory Reinker and Josh Steele from Roberts / Used Photo Pro. Closing out the show Mat catches up with FPP's Paige Davis and FPP founder, Michael Raso.

The 2024 PRO* Convention and Trade Show* in Indianapolis, Indiana USA was a vibrant testimony to the endurance and growth of film photography and an incredible opportunity to meet face-to-face with the vendors whose passion for film is essential for a thriving film community.

*The Photographic Research Organization (PRO) is a cooperative buying group with hundreds of members across the US, Canada and the UK. The PRO convention brings together members and retailers to facilitate a dialogue on the state of the photo industry, cultivate community, and provide education and opportunity for growth.

The Toy Photographers Podcast is back! To kick off the new year, I had a chat with the co-creators of #jANTMANuary, an annual photo challenge and celebration of Ant-Man. You can check it out here.

This podcast is an incredible resource in this day and age that is so saturated with pornography. The statistics don't lie about how pervasive and destructive it is for men and women of all ages. It is a very shame based sin that no one wants to talk about and is easy to hide. In that light, I wanted to promote this podcast as a good resource and a safe place to deal with the hard truths of pornography in pursuit of freedom and redemption.

Liberator Podcast

Hosts Leyton & Chelsea describe the podcast as:

"A discussion of pornography’s hard truths through the lens of stories, science, and Scripture."

I love the work they are doing.

Image - FPP RetroChrome 160 Color Slide Film.

Canon EOS 10s / Lomography Petzval Portrait Lens

Characteristic photos shot with the Petzval lens are recognizable for their sharpness and crispness in the centre, strong color saturation, wonderful swirly bokeh effect, artful vignettes and narrow depth of field.

The image held up amazingly well in my scan considering the narrow exposure latitude that color slide film offers. My first time shooting with the Petzval since receiving it from the Lomography Kickstarter campaign back in 2013

FPP's RetroChrome is cold-stored expired Kodak Ektachrome hand-rolled from ultra-large cinema reels.
