A westbound Southern Pacific train rolls past the old SP depot in Pleasanton, California. This trackage is part of SP's Niles Subdivision, abandoned in 1986. Today, the right of is part of the Iron Horse Regional Trail.
The former SP depot was sold to Pleasanton Glass. The structure still exists, and was moved to a new location in Pleasanton. The glass company is still in business, but in a different building.
Does anyone know the street/crossing Doug shot this photo from?
I have no idea what type of truck this is. Any one know?

I walked by this historic Pleasanton Hotel on Wednesday and discovered that it was closed. This is a well known haunted hotel in our area. Legend had it that a prostitute was murdered inside the hotel in the year of 1870. Since then, her spirit have been lingering in the hallway of the second floor. Her ghostly figure was captured by one of the visitors' camera and was featured on the local news.
