Pirates game in PNC Park viewed from Mt.Washington.
Pittsburgh, PA
SONY RX100M3

Both of these taken Sunday morning. I was there to shoot my "classic black and gold" photos, but ended up seeing a pretty awesome sunrise, too.
In this version, the sky has formed some colors but isn't yet bright enough to wash out the city lights. The city lights are still very vibrant and reflect brightly against the dark river. The clouds frame the buildings perfectly.
Final photo to follow later today...

More from my Pittsburgh weekend. I thought I would try my hand at night photography.
Thank you for checking out my picture. I hope you like it. Please let me know what you think and view in Lightbox for the best effect.
I return to this subject often. Here the green and other surrounding colors pop from the snow and flat overcast sky. That green looks to me somehow artificial, a paint color that does not or should not exist.
My third attempt at sunset from the Crawford-Roberts District of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
100-photo multi-row HDR panorama.
Don't forget to zoom in, this is an incredibly detailed pano. (Or view in even higher detail on my pano viewer.)
Long exposure in the pouring rain of condos on Herrs Island. City of Pittsburgh behind.
Not HDR. Not cropped.
This is a subject I return to often (e.g. flic.kr/p/Amvev4, flic.kr/p/j9TGba, flic.kr/p/Amvev4). Bride's Row is a row of townhouses leading up to the trompe-l'oeil mural, "Bride on Penn Avenue." Someone bought them several years ago, apparently saving them from certain condemnation and demolition. One of them had already burned. Since then nothing has been done to maintain or improve the properties. The burned one was recently demolished. The two depicted here cannot be too far behind. This is a neighborhood with generally good prospects, where many other positive changes have been taking place. Seeing these beautiful structures disappear is sad, even for me, drawn as I am to subjects of degradation, decay, and loss.
Pittsburgh on an ultra clear night. Taken from 31st St Bridge above Washington's Landing.
Tripod. 17F.
3-photo HDR @ 3.2 0.8 13.0
I took this at 100mm in case the pano doesn't come out. I won't know until later today if it does or not, it's going to take some time to stitch it all together.
(I previously wrote "40th St Bridge" even though I knew it was not. Sorry, got these out in a rush...)
