(278/365) Autumn colours starting to show in the trees at Newmarket's recently revamped Pitch & Putt course. I don't play golf but am going to try & do the 1km perimeter walk 2 or 3 times a week. It's a lovely walk with a stream & varied habitats. My son works 3 days a week in the restaurant at the James O'Keeffe institute which is adjacent to the course so when I drop him off I can do some power walking. That's the theory anyway lol my trouble is I keep stopping to take photos! HTMT!
So some of my friends and I were playing the game, "what do you think I would go to jail for". Maybe a silly game, but apparently they thought I might go for being part of a heist. They said because in 1st life I am a Cappy therefor it must be true. *smh.. anyhow, made for a fun concept. Hope you enjoy.

We are fortunate to have two ipê-roxo trees (Handroanthus impetiginosus) bordering our soccer field {football pitch).
Here is another photo of Pitch the Crested Caracara. The hand belongs to his falconer and as you can see Pitch loves to get lots of attention.:)
A contrast between light, dark and misty. The background was muted just enough to keep the yellow tree on the edge of the lake as the main feature. The manicured grass is part of the 9 hole pitch and putt golf course at the Inn on the Lake hotel.

This was taken around midnight with only the lightning to show off the clouds and a torch to light the foreground. It's been about 11 months since the last electrical storm here so I was delighted to get something!
Known locally as 'the cricket pitch', also containing 2 football pitches and mostly - our neighbourhood dog-walking ground. (Which makes it appear so often in my stream, possibly 80% of all 'nature' shots I take).
But it's usually the sky that makes me stop and take a snap, as is definitely this case.

The pitch hit his finger and lip, but fortunately did not his his face full-on. X rays were negative but always scary to see.
