I like this one, really shows how bad the rain was.... I had no cover or rain cover for the camera... but had to get the photo.
Tells you how close this was too... 27mm!!
its raining cats and dogs outside, but I'm super happy! I didn't bother going out in it, except once to take a picture (which failed miserably) so I had to take all my affection and happiness out on my cat. Hooray for rain!
You should also know, that as of last night, I am now a taken lady!! Yep, all that trying to impress the flickr member paid off!!! <3
I've had these in the 'must do later ' pile since November.I tried to open them out in Pshop as it was crummy light and weather but gave up so this weekend I just gave them just a levels tweak and BW conversion and left it at that, and actually this it what the weather was like when I shot them.....
It was the odd NYPD buggy in the centre of the frame that I wanted to capture. These little things whizz all over New York and I've never seen a law enforcement officer drive a souped-up street sweeper before.
Feeling plump after an oversized and delicious burger at Hard Rock Cafe we ventured into the rain. Fair to say we were soaked to the bone.
I took refuge under a canopy to take this snap - so very cold. Would you believe I was in shorts just 2 days before this? Crazy ass weather.

So the weather was crap last Sunday so I took myself across the lawns to the pool house and had a dip, it was lovely (I wish).
So we had to sort it out. All 40+ fish had to be caught and placed in the holding pool, no easy task! A complete drain, all the sludge hoovered out and a search for the leak. Thankfully it wasn't a tree root piercing the liner as we first thought, it was caused by the hose clip on one of the pumps!! That was patched, and then re-filled and all the fish put back. Sadly, a pair of white Koi (over 10'' long, and nearly half way to a D700!) died overnight but we seem to have avoided any more casualties
marta and i went for a cycle ride, and when we were 7 miles from any civilization the heavens opened. it continued to rain each hour like this for the rest of the day, so we got WET!!!
Mrs H wanted a picture of each fish as we put them back in the pond, but it was pissing it down, the light was crap and every so often I was required to assist in the recovery of mad fish that suicide leaped out of the holding pool as they were getting distressed!! I hasten to add, the cataloguing didn't go to plan. DSLR's and rain just don't mix!
Thank you Scotland, for giving us wonderful weather on the longest day of the year! Its Officially Summertime! Doesn't feel like it. My clothes are still drip drying from the today's excursion. Thought I would mess around with the Diptych Idea, one I haven't played with before.
