My dear friends, this was a view from my window at the landside.

At the rear of the building is the seaside (of course ;-))

I am so happy and thankful to live here!

A vivid pink dahlia in full bloom, showcasing nature’s flair for drama and detail.. These flowers are known for their intricate, layered petals and bold colors, making them a favorite in gardens and floral arrangements.

Dared to dream a little bigger at the Pink Passion Lingerie Contest, channeling my inner Victoria's Secret Angel. This event wasn’t just about fashion; it was a celebration of confidence, diversity, and the beauty of embracing oneself. Proud to stand tall and share this moment of empowerment and grace. Here's to flying high on wings of self-love and acceptance. 🌟✨ #AngelWings #PinkPassion #TriPi

This Passiflora is a continual decor from May to the end of summer.

'Pink Passion' blooms generously. The big, very original, double, star-shaped flowers are bright deep pink.

The thick pale green leaves are three-lobed.

This selection behaves like a slow creeper of reduced size.

The plant is not hardy. It is necessary to protect it in winter.

That’s the name Bentley has given to this paint colour. The lady too appears to be passionate about pink ...

A hybrid of Passiflora insignis x Passiflora mixta

The pulp smells of oranges and it tastes citrus-y and sweet. And full of seeds! ( fresh from the vine today )

The pulp on the left is squashed because I stuck my tongue in there! Delicious but not for eating - the seeds are to be planted immediately.

I am really very slow because there have been hybrids made already with tacsonia x passiflora, see here:

In 2011 Bettina Ulmer produced a beautiful hybrid 'Lucky Lady' which was a cross of P. Wilgen R. Robertson (same pedigree as 'Pink Passion' above ) x P. loefgrenii but sadly the cultivar has not been available commercially for several years now. Click link for photo:

I hope my fruit above contains viable hybrid seeds for a similar result.

My first two seedlings of Passiflora 'Pink Passion' (syn. 'Wilgen K. Verhoeff') x Passiflora caerulea.

They look healthy. I hope more germinate soon.

I need to turn the pot around so they face the light again.

Thank you Tatsuyasaverem for the heart brush.

Pinkki Kärsimyskukka (Passiflora) 'Pink Passion' Granadilla, Passion Flower

Progress report:

A few seeds were sown on 12th September : these two germinated after 17 days. I am hoping for some more to follow.

Heavy fruit of 35 grams which has been on the vine for more than 3 months and looks like a cantaloupe or charentaise melon with a reticulated surface ... ( but it's really a "passionfruit" )

Set on 'Pink Passion'

Last October when I was bringing indoors my pots of Passionvines I accidentally broke the stem of a Tacsonia hybrid leaving it with approx 40cm of trunk but no leaves. As I thought it would probably not revive (it was already weak, or so I thought) I left it in the garden all winter but a few days ago I saw a tiny green shoot after 5 nearly 6 months of dormancy when we had temperatures of minus five degrees Celsius! The hybrid is Passiflora 'Wilgen K Verhoeff' (syn. 'Pink Passion') a hybrid of P. insignis (sp. from Bolivia) x P. mixta (pan-andean sp.)

Ripe and heavy fruit.

Participants can submit their fabulously decorated shoes. High heels or tennis shoes, glitter, crystals or feathers—the sky’s the limit, but the shoe must be decorated in PINK! Incorporating teal into the design to show your support for the fight against ovarian cancer is also encouraged, but not required.

A beautiful miniature Rose from my garden. When the bud first opens, the petals are a rich yellow with a touch of pink on the tips, then a day or so later, it starts to change color turning more pink, with accentuated hot pink on the petal edges, with some added white in the petals with a pretty yellow center.

In flower today in the garden.

(I saw the bloom by chance hidden in among the leaves and so brought it forward. )
