Thank you!!

Here's a reprocessed moonset image from 2011. Conditions in the Denver area will be good for replicating this. We have a super moon setting at 7:45 (it'll actually be 10 to 15 minutes earlier, due to the mountains, with sunrise at 7:15. This a good formula for pink mountains.

Fingers crossed for light, broken clouds and little or no haze.

Mt Constance from Mt Walker at sunrise.

A view from Pink Mountain, located a few hours north of Fort St. John, BC, Canada. The views from the mountain were some of the most amazing views I've seen in my life! The road to get to the top of the mountain was crazy even in a 4x4, but it all added to the adventure!

It is always awesome to see to the sun cast it's rays upon the Teton Range just at sunrise to see the mountain tops turn a beautiful pink. You can always be hear at different times during the day on any given day and always walk away with a different shot. I think that's why it is a must visit anytime you come to Jackson Hole - enjoy

This is that tail end of a beautiful pink sunrise. We'd planned to go skiing, but the high winds and predictions of dangerous mountain passes kept us at home. Ultimately, the storm didn't hit until the evening.

An old overgrown graveyard in the northwest New Mexico town of El Rito with some gravestones dating back more than a century. El Rito, Spanish for Little River, is an unincorporated community in Rio Arriba County. Surrounded by Carson National Forest, El Rito was one of the first Spanish settlements in northern New Mexico. Originally named 'El Rito Colorado', (the red creek) it took its name from the creek that passes through the village. Tewas call the El Rito region "pink below place" for the El Rito Mountains, known to them as the pink mountains.

A gem-in-progress is lodged in this poor green guy's skull.

Daybreak on Mount Ruapehu, New Zealand, and the sun shone on the snow, making it look particularly beautiful.

We have a YouTube channel on travel and geocaching showing the Mount Ruapehu area. You are welcome to view it on this link:

Martin's General Store in the small community of El Rito. Many generations of Martin's have owned and operated this store. Built around the turn of the 20th century, it was originally known as Sargent General Store.

Mount Rainer at sunset. This mountain is such an amazing view and a treat to get to see every day. This is taken just down the street from my house. This was taken at about 4:30 when the sun was setting...it loves to leave a nice pink color on the mountain. I've heard that the other side of the mountain is where the "really good" shots are taken...but I'm quite happy with this one!

The male Spruce Grouse came strutting out of its cover on the Pink Mountain Road off of Highway 97 the Alaskan Highway located in northern part of British Columbia.

The spruce grouse or Canada grouse (Dendragapus canadensis) is a medium-sized grouse closely associated with

the coniferous Boreal forests or taiga of North America. It is one of the most arboreal grouse, fairly well adapted to perching and moving about in trees. When approached by a predator, it relies on camouflage and immobility to an amazing degree, for example letting people come to within a few feet before finally taking flight, a behavior that has earned it the moniker fool hen. It is present in Quebec and its French name is tétras du Canada

Mt Rainier looking pretty in pink. This is a scene I see almost every evening from our deck. The mountain is about 70 miles from here.

The doe Mule Deer wondered unto the Pink Mountain ahead of our vehicle and long enough for these photos. Pink Mountain road is off of the Alaskan Highway in northern part of British Columbia.

I was really stoked to design the album cover for Scott Pinkmountain & The Golden Bolts. The cover was offset & letterpress printed by Stumptown Printers on Mohawk paper. The custom vinyl albums were pressed by Pirates Press in San Francisco - only 200 made - Kickstarter Funded, thank you to everyone who donated!!

This is relatively common in Colorado, but this bright pink only lasts a minute or two. This is just before sunrise at my ground level of around 5,400-feet above sea level, looking at 14,000-ft mountains that already have sun on them There are clouds in between the sunrise and the mountains, adding to the pink, as is a relatively thick haze. Two minutes later and this had faded and become "ordinary", at least ordinary for Mount Evans, which is pretty spectacular without much help.

This is 6-shots taken with a 500mm lens, stitched together with Photoshop.

On March 6, 2023 snow-capped Angeles National Forest displayed a slight moment of "pink moment".

Here is the painting that I started yesterday. This is another acrylic water media landscape, painted from my imagination and my memories of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. This is a work in progress; in fact, the painting was still wet when I took this photo.

Got a very, very late start off to Mt Rainier, so we settled for the short hike to Snow Lake. I'm not sure of the name of this waterfall, or if it has one at all, but I spent quite a bit of time with it beyond the lake. This was the best I could do without a tripod - I gotta start bring that thing with me, it seems.

This area of the park was the only that seemed to be sunny; just across Stevens Canyon, Paradise was socked in with heavy clouds.

IDAHOT is a world-wide event, established in 2004 to highlight how homophobia and transphobia damages the lives of many people around the world. IDAHOT takes place on May 17, as this was the date, 25 years ago, when the World Health Organisation removed homosexuality from its list of mental health disorders.

The Blue Mountains IDAHOT events are officially supported by Blue Mountains City Council which has worked in conjunction with the Blue Mountains community and local services to raise community awareness of the harmful effects of homophobia and transphobia. 2015 will mark the sixth year the Blue Mountains City Council has joined with the Blue Mountains community to commemorate IDAHOT.
