A magical sunrise, a magical moment

My version of Pretty Pink Passion for PPT!

Joshua Tree National Park

HSS!

Like the earlier shot posted we're still in a Northerly airstream as evidenced by the increased snow on the ground and the similar cloud pattern.

The sun had just disappeared behind the hillside and but was still colourfully illuminating the Cumulus Clouds. This was the view looking due West towards Troforth from the front of my home in Betws yn Rhos, Conwy, North Wales.

There was a lovely glow over the Malverns this morning.

12 days after my earlier post of 29.4.2021, sees the sun setting one half hour later at 21.00pm.

Took this shot of last night's 'Vibrant Sky' at 21.15pm, just after the sun had dipped below the horizon, from the front of my home in the village of Betws yn Rhos, Conwy, North Wales looking West towards the hamlet of Cefin Isaf.

I used a Canon EOS 1200D camera with a Tokina 11-16mm wide angle lens set at 16mm, F5.6, ISO 100 and 1/40second exposure.

Now, we're in a warmer South Westerly Airflow - with blustery winds and intermittent squally rain - but still resulting in such colourful sunsets.

Compositionally, luckily I was able to use the rapidly moving Cumulus Clouds(to the left and bottom) contrasting with the Alto Cumulus Clouds (above and to the right) to good effect not only as an encircling frame but also to further diffuse the sun's brightness.

These gorgeous carnations are from a bouquet I had gifted my Mom a while ago =) Happy Sunday my friends! It's snowing here again!

I'm facing north here so the sun is setting on my left. As the sun disappeared it cast a pink glow in the east.

Sowerby Mountain with some serious Alpenglow just before the sunrise.

Alpenglow is an optical phenomenon --When the Sun is just below the horizon, a horizontal red glowing band can sometimes be observed on the opposite horizon. Alpenglow is easiest to observe when mountains are illuminated but can also be observed when the sky is illuminated through backscattering. This picture shows both.

It's 5.45am, frosty and I've just walked through our village to a nearby farm to take this silhouette image of this beautiful tree.

Waves crashing under the iconic bridge with a fisherman looking for his dinner catch. This was one of a kind sunset for me as I was waiting with all set and nothing happened 10 minutes into sunset due to clouds, as I was walking back noticed the sky started to glow when I thought everything was over. Was able to quickly setup in the sand and get this moment before it was gone. Single exposure raw processed in LR an PS.

I-70 Mountain Corridor traffic near Evergreen Colorado with the backdrop of snow capped Rocky mountains. This has been my best view every time I drove through this freeway and finally got some good image of this view.

Love the Spring pink glow of this gorgeous Azalea bloomimg in my Mom's neighbourhood! Hope your day's glowing bright my friends =)

It's a cold wintry day at the Lone Pine Farm, a 300 acre dairy farm located in rural South Kirby, Vermont. The mountains in the background, approximately 35 miles away, are part of the Presidential Range of New Hampshire. They include (from right) Mt. Washington, Mt. Clay, Mt. Jefferson, Mt. Adams, and Mt. Madison.

Thanks for your visit.

After 3 days of waiting hopelessly and thrice hiking up from Campamento Poincenot, I could see and capture this spot successfully.

First climb before dawn, I was trapped in rainy, windy and snowy condition in the dark alone near the lookout.

Second climb just near sunset and to the summit in the dark when the weather condition was good. I didn't want to left any chance to take photo from this spot.

Final climb, this photo, everything was perfect!

The famous mountain light in Jotunheimen National Park.

There's something special about light high up in the mountains. With the clean air and the cooler temperatures you always seem to get a slighly cold image although the purple/orange glow warms it up a little.

Taken last December at a classic location for the Yosemite Valley. The pink glow after sunset was really outstanding, especially over the distant snow covered Half Dome.

explored #190# - thank you!!!!!!!

As I have mentioned earlier, I am going on vacation and will be away for quite a long time. It is not a vacation really, I am going to visit my family, in-laws and friends. I haven't seen them in two years.

I will miss Flickr a lot and I will miss photo editing. I've been addicted lately and the days without editing a single photo will be strange :P But I will have the camera and that should help a lot.

I wish you all a good summer!

Thanks very much to Rita from the CoffeeShop for amazing Pink Glow Actions,

Shot with extension tubes, this close up of a mimosa flower looks positively pink and glowing. Who knew the tips of the stamen have four little yellow squares of pollen?

A spectacular morning in front of the Auronzo Hut at the foot of the Tre Cime.

The first light of the day slowly made its way over the horizon, painting the peak of the 3,205-meter-high Punta Sorapis in a deep, glowing red.

We almost missed this brief moment, as there was already a lot of traffic at the pass gate early in the morning.

It took a while before we could pass – time was running short.

So, if you’re planning to experience the sunrise from up there, make sure to plan your arrival well or, better yet, stay overnight. 😉

✨Thank you for taking a look. Have a great day and always good light! ✨

When the sky spreads the pastel pinks like cotton candy over the lake, rocks and trees. The beauty of staying at one campsite for a week is we get to see the same scene in different lights each day. It was neat to see all the water turn pink.

This is a view from my deck into my backyard very early the morning after a snow storm.

The pink sky was tinging the newly fallen white snow pink. I was very happy at how this turned out,

I hope you like it too =)) (Best viewed on black)

There is nothing more beautiful than to see friends and family sticking together through the thick and thin of life. It's not weak to need each other; it's beautiful to share our love and help each other shine more brightly!

The setting Sun created this beautiful pink glow.
