The Fairy Pools are a natural waterfall phenomenon in Glen Brittle on the Isle of Skye. The vivid blues and greens of the pools suggest an unnatural origin. They are a popular place for wild swimmers.

The habitat of the Fairy Pools hosts a variety of animals, such as red deer, rabbits, and sheep. The area is also host to a large number of birds. Large flocks of crows, ravens, and gulls are present in the area, as well as such smaller birds as meadow pipits, turnstones, common ringed plovers, grey herons, dunlins, and curlews. The physical landscape is predominately rocky, with some boggy areas here and there. The water in the area is typically cold.

The Fairy Pools are a popular location for walkers. It is about a 20 minute walk to the Fairy Pools from the Glen Brittle car park.

"Spirit Island"

Maligne Lake, Jasper National Park.

The island is a spiritual place for the Stoney Nakoda First Nation, who believe mountains are physical representations of their ancestors. The fact that Spirit Island is surrounded on three sides by the same mountain range is very rare and makes it particularly significant to the Stoney. The color of the water is different at Spirit Island than where cruises depart at the Maligne Lake docks. The further south on the lake you travel, the closer you get to glaciers, and the more emerald-colored the water becomes due to the presence of rock flour from the glaciers.

For this image, I smoothed out the water to give it a more peaceful environment. This was one of top three bucket list locations from this adventure. Moraine Lake at sunrise, walking on a glacier on the Icefield's Parkway, and Spirit Island in Jasper NP. We ended up driving over 4k miles from KC to the upper parts of Alberta, Canada. What an adventure.

Tribute to Hirst's Shark :)

Infos:

"The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living" the title of one of the most famous works of the English artist Damien Hirst (1991). It represents a shark as if suspended in a huge formalin aquarium. Not durable, these works deteriorate over time and need to be replaced.

For Hirst, the shark represents both a terrible aesthetic of nature and a figure of capitalism. Hirst is a “symptomatic” artist who speaks to us, in his own way, of the evils of our time.

In the previous photograph I explained the physical law of entropy. It is actually the most fundamental law in the universe. The only way entropy can be overcome is with an additional input of energy, i.e. work.

Here we see a once workable hut reduced to a ruin by the law of entropy. All things must return to their natural state. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. You get the idea. So here we see the old hut's iron roof rusting away, its wooden boards rotten, and within a few short years (perhaps less) it will collapse with only the brick chimney left standing.

Already the trees are starting to grow inside and twist the building around on its axis. I didn't go inside because I'll wager there were one or two snakes in there too. And all Tasmanian snakes are venomous.

Black Grouse courtship displays often include a behavior known as "jumping display," which is performed by males in combination with wing displays and vocalizations. This behavior adds another layer of complexity to their courtship rituals and is an important component of their mating behavior. The ability to perform vigorous jumps and displays demonstrates the physical fitness and health of male Black Grouse. Females may use these displays to assess the quality of potential mates and choose the most suitable partners for breeding

Hey everyone, I've been pretty inactive for a while and I apologize. Personal things have come up in my life which affected both my physical and mental health, but I am doing my best to recover and I am happy to say I am doing better. I apologize to my sponsors for not notifying what has been happening. I just could not bring myself to do it and for that, I am sorry. I hope everyone is doing well and if you are celebrating Thanksgiving, I hope you eat a lot! xx

A succubus is a demon or supernatural entity in folklore, in female form, which appears in dreams to seduce men, usually through sexual activity. According to religious traditions, repeated sexual activity with a succubus can cause poor physical or mental health, even death.

So they said let's get physical and sweat. Have you ever done Yoga? They teach you healthy mind/healthy body and visa versa.

So here you go... and you can't go have the burn without your friends in arms with you... One zonked out 15 minutes into the exercise. One started to combust... and of course my faithful little buddies dancing on the music box. Meow decided now was a good time for a cat nap in the sun

I confess that I had never heard of feijoa until I did this poster.

Body armor, also known as body armour, personal armor or armour, or a suit or coat of armor, is protective clothing designed to absorb or deflect physical attacks. Historically used to protect military personnel, today it is also used by various types of police (riot police in particular), private security guards or bodyguards, and occasionally ordinary civilians. Today there are two main types: regular non-plated body armor for moderate to substantial protection, and hard-plate reinforced body armor for maximum protection, such as used by combat soldiers.

Plate armour is a historical type of personal body armour made from bronze, iron, or steel plates, culminating in the iconic suit of armour entirely encasing the wearer. Full plate steel armour developed in Europe during the Late Middle Ages, especially in the context of the Hundred Years' War, from the coat of plates worn over mail suits during the 14th century.

In Europe, plate armour reached its peak in the late 15th and early 16th centuries. The full suit of armour, also referred to as a panoply, is thus a feature of the very end of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance period. Its popular association with the "medieval knight” is due to the specialised jousting armour which developed in the 16th century.

Full suits of Gothic plate armour were worn on the battlefields of the Burgundian and Italian Wars. The most heavily armoured troops of the period were heavy cavalry, such as the gendarmes and early cuirassiers, but the infantry troops of the Swiss mercenaries and the Landsknechts also took to wearing lighter suits of "three quarters" munition armour, leaving the lower legs unprotected.

The physical limits

Thanks to the confinement at home I have discovered a bush of begonias. This one is invaded by a swarm of tiny snails that feed on it. At first I wanted to eradicate them but later I decided to observe and photograph them. They are minuscule in size of just 4mm and this implies developing all the technique I have in macroscopic photography. I have worked with my Nikon D750 and D500 cameras, the TC 1´7 and a Kenko 36 mm extension ring. All this assembly has been stabilized by a BENRO LB200 rail and a Leofoto LH40 ball joint. I am enjoying a lot.

The physical presence of Shoreham seemed the same when I took this shot on October 7, 1990 but it looked far from the SOO I was used to. We have 325 sitting with stacks capped with MILW 2009 resting behind. Off to the left is either 701 or 705 one of the pair of GP30's WC didn't want, both had been out of service since early-mid 1987. To the right of 2009's rear end you can make out one of the EMD leasing SD35's commonly called "bricks" by local fans resting in the roundhouse and just in the frame to the right is one of a couple ex BN SD45's that SOO had bought for parts but then upon finding them in better condition then expected returned them to service for relatively short while due to a power shortage.

Sometimes things don't feel right or unbelivable. There were many sculptures like this on the beach. Its amazing but just looking at them was so relaxing while the sun set down.
