Manche Wintertage verschwinden spurlos. Andere hinterlassen ihre Spuren in Eis, Licht und Erinnerung.
Als die Temperaturen Hamburg fest im Griff hatten, verwandelte sich die Wasseroberfläche vor dem Spiegelhaus in ein Archiv aus gefrorenen Strukturen und Reflexionen. Für einen kurzen Moment schien die Stadt stillzustehen. Das Licht der Gebäude spiegelte sich auf dem Eis, als würde es dort für später aufbewahrt.
Ein Augenblick zwischen Kälte und Wärme, zwischen Bewegung und Stillstand.

Cold Archive
Some winter days disappear without a trace. Others leave their marks in ice, light and memory.
During a period of freezing temperatures in Hamburg, the water in front of the Spiegel building turned into an archive of frozen patterns and reflections. For a brief moment, the city seemed to stand still. The light from the buildings reflected on the ice as if it were being preserved for another time.
A moment suspended between cold and warmth, movement and stillness.

冬の日々の中には、何も残さず消えていくものもあれば、氷と光、そして記憶の中に痕跡を残すものもあります。
厳しい寒さに包まれたハンブルク。シュピーゲル社屋の前の水面は、凍りついた模様と反射を刻む静かな記録となりました。街の灯りは氷の上に映り込み、まるで未来のために保存されているかのようでした。
冷たさと温もり、動きと静寂のあいだに存在した一瞬です。

The Spectacled Parrotlet (Forpus conspicillatus) captured at Finca Ecoturística San Javier in Chucuní, Tolima, Colombia, showcases the vibrant beauty of this species. This shot was taken at an altitude of 703 meters, with the bird perched gracefully on a branch. The parrotlet's iridescent green plumage and expressive eyes stand out against the lush, green backdrop. The soft, dappled sunlight filtering through the foliage highlights the bird's intricate feather details, creating a harmonious balance of light and shadow.
From a photographer’s perspective, capturing this image required careful planning and patience. I used natural light to enhance the bird's vibrant colors, ensuring the exposure balanced the bright greens of the bird and the surrounding foliage. The composition was framed to draw the viewer’s eye directly to the parrotlet, with a shallow depth of field to create a soft, blurred background that emphasizes the subject. This image is a testament to the stunning biodiversity of Colombia and reflects my dedication to capturing the essence of wildlife in its natural habitat.

Neil and I became friends through Flickr. One of his photos was selected for the exhibition, so he came to Japan, and I went to see him there with two of my friends. It was great to finally meet him in person and get to know each other better. He’s a really friendly and wonderful guy from Australia, and he really loves Japan and Tokyo.
The exhibition was held at the Setagaya Art Museum, in a quiet part of Tokyo. It was a lovely event, and the photo he exhibited is one of my favorites.
On the way back, we got caught in a sudden downpour and couldn’t get a taxi, so we ended up walking to the station together. We said goodbye and promised to meet again. Even the rain became part of a good memory.
NeilとはFlickrを通じて友達になりました。今回、彼の写真の一枚が写真展に選ばれて来日したので、友人2人と一緒に会場まで会いに行きました。直接会ってさらに仲良くなれたのが嬉しかったです。彼はとても気さくで素敵なオーストラリア人で、日本と東京をとても気に入ってくれています。
会場は東京の閑静な場所にある世田谷美術館。とても素敵なイベントで、今回展示された彼の写真は、私のお気に入りの一枚です。
帰りには突然の豪雨に降られタクシーもつかまらなかったので、話をしながら駅まで歩きました。再会を約束して別れました。あの雨も含めて、いい思い出になりました。
