Using a flash or focus assist illuminator on these photo shoots is an absolute No No! Rest assured a few harsh words were spoken by someone at the time!
I must look clueless when I am out shooting and have sad puppy dog eyes were friendly people want to help correct my ways.
On this sunset, I was at Panorama Point in Capitol Reef National Park. The "view" is the opposite direction, and I was set up with my tripod looking in the opposite direction from everyone else.
Three separate people came up to me, letting me know where I was supposed to be shooting. I thanked them for their kindness and stood my ground :-)
A collage of two photographs: a living statue in the image of a photographer and the GUM building in the center of Moscow.
Living sculptures are rare in Moscow, unlike Venice or Barcelona. But there are several holiday agencies where can order any hero. I photographed my hero at a photo exhibition.
GUM (State Department Store) is a unique shopping complex located in the very heart of Moscow, on Red Square. The historic building of GUM - Upper Trading Rows - is an outstanding monument of pseudo-Russian architecture and one of the brightest symbols of Moscow along with the Kremlin and the Intercession Cathedral. The building was built in 1889-1893 by the architect Alexander Pomerantsev.
After running the photog in the background into his car these hoodlums turned their attention to me.

- Yes, that's me, the one and only HansHolt ;-)
Here I'm mastering the balance beam high above a wild river
-still smiling!- while I'm pointing to the tulipfields at the horizon in the Noordoostpolder (The Netherlands).
No red colours in the sky, no fog or mist, this is winter in Alberta, frozen bubbles with blue tone, a photographer is shooting his subject.

My wife & I were in town for our 29th anniversary
and time goes by
We paid an early morning visit to Langstone to coincide with the high tide. It was a beautiful morning with hardly a cloud in the sky. We managed to get a nice breakfast too at a nearby cafe/pub

You taught me the courage of stars before you left.
How light carries on endlessly, even after death.
With shortness of breath, you explained the infinite.
How rare and beautiful it is to even exist.
I couldn’t help but ask
For you to say it all again.
I tried to write it down
But I could never find a pen.
I’d give anything to hear
You say it one more time,
That the universe was made
Just to be seen by my eyes.
I couldn’t help but ask
For you to say it all again.
I tried to write it down
But I could never find a pen.
I’d give anything to hear
You say it one more time,
That the universe was made
Just to be seen by my eyes.
With shortness of breath, I’ll explain the infinite
How rare and beautiful it truly is that we exist.

I love Lynn's singular focus when photographing flowers. . . nothing distracts her. ..and I (Michael) am so easily distracted by everything. . .

I was out watching the sunset and a van pulled in near me.
About 8 people got out, and this man quickly caught my eye..
As I watched him find his spot and get ready. I noticed He had a camera around his neck, a smaller one in his pocket, and also his cell phone camera. He's holding all 3 in this photo.
The best part about this photo is, I never noticed the stick in the ground until I got home and looked on the computer.. It must have been near the road between us.
People make all kinds of things with sticks and logs out there. They also stack rocks everywhere.
Morning on Derwent Water in the Lake District National Park, England. Taken from Crow Park, Keswick looking down Derwent Water to Borrowdale.
I waited sometime for the photographer to finish but alas he kept readjusting so I included him in the shot.
THANK YOU !!!!!!! 💖
