Biographical Sketch
The Quarter Circle U Ranch near Birney, Montana, is located in the eastern part of the state. The ranch was founded by George Warren Brewster in 1882, and is still under family ownership today. It operates as a cow-calf and yearling ranch.

Found and photographed in 1976 of the shale oil ruins in the Newnes Valley NSW.
These were the only photos that could be salvaged form 35mm slides and reproduced with HDR effects.

I spend most of the morning putting George Kessanis back together again. He was the uncle of a friend of mine and this is one of the few remaining photos of him. This was possibly his passport photo taken over 50 years ago. Unfortunately the dog (theirs not mine) got to the photo before it could be scanned. So it made my job just that little bit more challenging!

Portrait taken, and processed by me in 1967 (on 120 B&W film) and only the sepia 6 by 4 matte print survived. Really pleased by the way the new restored 8 by 10 print came out, like it had been taken yesterday.
Did not expect it to print so well, perfect.
Another before-and-after example of my digital retouch work. This was the only photo that this person had of their mother with her brothers and sisters together as children. I restored it to a "like new" condition. In addition to a wonderful memory restored, the process of scanning and "digitizing" old photos gives you a backup if the original print is ever lost or ruined. Dune surfing south coast, Wreck Bay, NSW.
Old cut down jeans were a must on monster sand dunes, if you slid down in your boardies you arrived at the bottom naked.
Restored photo from 1968 35mm negative film.
A restored bush Church, southern Highlands 1993.
From a pile of rubble it took 3 guys 6 months to rebuild it back to original.
Photo restoration of the active volcano, Mount Etna, shot on a Tri-X negative. I took this shot while deployed to Sigonella, Sicily with VP-49 in the US Navy as a Photographer's Mate. Lots of dust and scratches had to be removed after decades of my negatives being shipped with me around the world and stored in every climate immaginable.

Restored Memories: A Family’s Day Out
I recovered this photograph from a glass plate likely shot around 1890 in the Vancouver, Canada area. The plate had been developed but was so dark and contaminated that no image was visible. After hours of careful and meticulous cleaning with archival materials—chosen specifically to avoid damaging the fragile emulsion—I was finally able to restore the image and reveal this captured moment in time.

My Arab stallion Toledo (Ledo) surveying his mares, North Arm 1983.
A great riding horse he carried my ass untold miles over the years we were great mates.
Sadly died in a paddock accident aged 9 years, but great memories of our time together, your horse is a special partner and you get to know each other very well.
Sadly missed.
