I am an Abstract Artist primarily influenced by Abstract Expressionism and Futurist Artists. The Philosopher's Walk, or 哲学の道 (Tetsugaku no Michi), is a canal-side path running through the east side of Kyoto. To my mind, it's by far the most pleasant place in an often ugly and crowded city.

Memorial to Alexandros Moraitidis, Bourtzi, Palaio Limani, Skiathos. Photographed on 8 July 2011.

Moraitidis (1850-1929) was born in Skiathos. He was a philosopher, news reporter, prose writer, playwright and scholar. At the end of his life he b ecame a monk, assuming the name 'Andronikos'.
