Hundred islands , Philippines
As we are near the end of our travel serie from the Philippines , one more time, the Hundred islands, the main highlight of our holiday.
It is a national park and a major tourist spot.
The islands, totaling 124 at low tide and 123 at high tide, are scattered in Lingayen Gulf. Only three of them have been developed for tourism: Governor Island, Quezon Island, and Children's Island.
The islands are believed to be about two million years old
The location is in Pangasinan in Luzon and the nearest city is Alaminos.
We have had a great time here, a beautiful view, good food and friendly people.
The beautiful small beaches, the tropical views, the many fish will always be remembered as one of the highlights in our life.
We choose Philippines.

In the Philippines, some live in stilt shanties over water due to poverty and lack of accessible housing. Building on water avoids land ownership issues. Homes use scrap wood, tin, and bamboo stilts to stay above tides. These settlements often lack basic utilities like electricity, clean water, and sewage, yet serve as practical solutions for families with no formal housing options.
Sariaya Beach in the Philippines, home to the Monte Vista Resort, boasts a stunning beachfront with significant tidal variations. With favorable weather, it would offer a spectacular view with magnificent reflections. Unfortunately, we weren't blessed with good weather this time. Perhaps, with a bit of luck, we'll experience it one day in the future.

Sari-sari stores are tiny, community-rooted shops found across the Philippines, from urban Manila to remote villages. They offer daily essentials in small, affordable quantities—like single shampoo sachets, candies, instant noodles, or even individual cigarettes—making them accessible to all income levels and a vital part of everyday life.

Jeepneys of Siquijor, Philippines
The first 'jeepneys', the main public transport in many Philippine cities, as well as between regional centers, were modified SUVs that the US military abandoned in the country after World War II. Customized with Filipino details, they sport chrome, colorful headlights, radio antennas, paintings of the Virgin Mary or comic book characters. Service routes are written on the sides of the vehicle.

This is a picture from the summit of Mt. Tapyas. It was a must do in coron to climb for sunset. I was gasping for air after the 700+ steps... but i think it was worth :))
