I took this photograph from the Sky View Observatory at Columbia Center in downtown Seattle during the evening blue hour. Columbia Center is the tallest building in Seattle at 284 meters (933 feet), and the Sky View Observatory is located on the 73rd floor of Columbia Center. What a view :)

This is called "Perspective" as this "cliff face" is only about 40cm high and the "wave" is no more than 3cm in height.

The camera was right on the sand and less than a meter away from the rock. It is absolutely amazing the perspective one can create at a focal length of 10mm.

It took a while to get this and I just about lost my camera in the process. The wave almost swamped my gear but I snatched it out the way just in time.

Life is a matter of perspective.

No matter where you are, who you are with, what you have or what you are doing.. life can be great or life can suck. It's all about how you look at it, from which perspective you decide to perceive it.

Sometimes changing the way you look at things can make a big difference. Do not adjust to your usual way, question yourself and look for the different point of view.. I'm sure you'll discover something great.

Many entire civilizations have arisen and fallen while this tree grew, prospered, and then faded, and we, the current brief occupants of this world, bicker about what a politician said today (forgotten tomorrow), and toss around terms like civil war because we cannot tolerate a politician of the opposite party for 4 years. Our foresight and patience are some of the things that are even shorter than our lives. It’s so easy for short lived creatures like ourselves to totally lose perspective. We are but a blink of the eye to trees like this. 14-24 mm lens, 24 mm, f/2.8, 20 sec, ISO 6400, stacked image.

Today at the gym I was a little more than miffed when another member swiped my bench while I was getting another weight. No worries though. Thanks to them and a break in my routine I my new spot had a great view. In the end another person gave me hand with a piece of equipment that was giving me so trouble. It all seems to work out in the end.
