John Ayers: Monday ain?t all bad
John W. Ayers, PhD, MA, is a social scientist and epidemiologist whose work is dedicated to the modernization of public health research methods.
John is a leading expert on the ?big data? revolution in public health, particularly for the study of non communicable diseases and health be haviors. His 2011 tracking of electronic cigarette Internet search queries was the first application of such data towards preventive medicine and was the American Journal of Preventive Medicine?s most cited research article that year?rightly predicting the rising popularity of electronic cigarettes. He harnesses search queries, Facebook posts, news media, and tweets to uncover how cycles in public health and disease are shaped by the physical and social environment. His work has been featured nationally by the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and Wired, with international coverage in more than a dozen languages.

My first attempt at aerial perspective for Assignment52 (not so good as it was also a really foggy morning - will try again tomorrow :0) ).
Perspective: Backcountry Brace
During these winter days with obscured/veiled suns, I consider Perspectives with Wide Angle Lenses as my activity for the day. Interesting lighting speaks for itself but up close and personal is better. The two rusty nails in the lower right corner of this just grab my “deep focus” love of this particular lens.
The bent rod on the far left is a BLM Benchmark that someone’s vehicle hit with and bent at this tight corner in the remote backcountry. It’s been there for the 20 years I’ve been driving by it lol. The rail has the Benchmark Wired to it.. Keeping the cattle from moving it was the purpose. 250 dollars to disturb lolol . I haven’t touched it😀
These corner braces carry a huge amount of tension with the barbed wire humming in the wind they are so tight. I’ve heard that many times up here…fences humming in the wind. Keep that wire tight !!!. Lot’s o tension on the bottom of that left post. Building braces well utilized, on all fences, is a science here.. Warm Season brings more fencing practic every year. We have about 30 miles of 3-4 strand fence on my ranch alone. Some of the big Ranches have people that only fix fences on the payroll. It takes a pretty tough hombre’ to string barbed wire without tangling yourself up in it lolol.
The snow up here varies by the day this early in the winter. Somedays it all mostly melts and others it’s covering everything. Two track roads will be unpassable shortly. My ridge line lookout spots will be snow drifted in. I’ve been known to plow some of my two tracks to allow me to get up on ridge one. The high ridges are snow light on the windswept top of which, I can usually drive quite a ways.

Wall and floor mosaic tiling in Medersa Ben Youssef, a former theological college and now museum in the middle of Marrakesh's Medina. I felt really dizzy after looking at these mosaics for a while.

This shot was one of those happy accidents. I was snapping away madly as I flew past in the train and I didn't realise I'd captured all the little boats. I enjoy the difference in perspective.
Global Perspectives 2016
'The Future of Civic Space' was the theme for this year's Global Perspectives - our annual conference that brings together civil society leaders, activists, and trend-setters to discuss, debate, and collaborate on some of the biggest issues affecting the sector. Nicolette Gray documents this face as "Perspective, Figgins 1845."¹
The earliest specimen personally examined is shown as Claro y Oscuro [Light and Dark] by Fundiçion de J.B. Clement (Valencia) dated 1840.
Kelly illustrates it and other chromatic reverses shown by George Nesbitt in 1841,² and Bullen writes that the design originated in France.³

At an artexibition in Berlin an old jewish school had been opened up to the puplic. After the compulsory security check you have to go through this giant exibition were at your feet. This room the artist had taken fotos of a russian school classroom and put 'em on the wall in one of the many classrooms. He'd then painted som paintings and cut these so they fit into the perspective of the foto. Look at the ceeling for refrence on the perspective.
I like the contrast between the black/white foto and the more colorful girl in the foreground.
