Swimming is only curtailed by lake temperature and amount of smelly green algae. Personal trainers took their business outside too.

Again, here's Evonne Personal Training,Monetique - I just *had* to share this photo and how we ended up with this shot. I *wish* I had though about grabbing my little flip video recorder.... but alas, I did not. Anyway, there's a nice paved trail for people wanting to work out or whatever around this lake up the road from us. So I wanted to take Evonne over and have her running on this trail. The trick was getting this particular shot.

I thought originally that I would set up the two alien bees on either side of the path and use the SB800 on the camera [or something along those lines] so that I had another flash in front.... basically throwing a ton of light at her from all sides to kinda mimic that shot I did of Parvati a while back that looked like a nike add. I don't know why I thought this would work and still be able to capture the stuff around her..... but I did a test shot with my brother and decided that this was a bad idea.

So.

I asked my friend and always human light stand Sean J. if he thought he could run along side Evonne with the large softbox on one of the bees. He said he thought he could so we tried it.

So here's the Strobist info and comedic part:

My brother was running along toting the 18lb vagabond - Sean J. holding the lightstand with the Alien Bee 800 with a large softbox on it slightly in front of Evonne and pointed back at her at a little over 1/4 power and triggered with PWplusII. Me with the camera in hand, on continual focus, holding it as low to the ground as I could manage running along in front of them all. We would run until the guys were about to hit a pole that was alongside the path and then we would reset back down the path again.

On that note I think I shall invest in some type of cart for toting this stuff around like this. lol. As always, I am very grateful to my helpers on this shoot: Sean J. ( MiCTLaN ), Anna and my brother.

It was a little bit of happy luck to have caught the sun shining through the tree there right next to Evonne. I did not add that in in post. I have a couple shots that turned out with the flare from the sun like that but not positioned right there or anywhere where I liked the effect even.

We had so much fun shooting on the streets of Notting Hill. We mave have caused some distractions too :-)

Le foglie che cadono in autunno dagli alberi sono preziose per l'ecosistema vegetale e animale. Non andrebbero quindi rimosse da parchi e giardini, semmai accantonate ai bordi delle strade. Una città dei Paesi Bassi ha caldeggiato chi si occupa del verde in città a non usare soffiatori per spazzarle via.

Le foglie autunnali svolgnono una funzione termoisolante per le piante stesse dalle quali cadono: le proteggono dal freddo invernale, preservando le radici dal gelo, e costituiscono un rifugio naturale per vari animali selvatici come, ad esempio, il riccio, ma anche lombrichi, farfalle. Molti insetti, inoltre, si nutrono proprio di foglie, aiutando il processo di decomposizione anche di altri microorganismi.

GRAVITY FORCE HAS STRIKED AGAIN

The leaves that fall from the trees in autumn are precious for the plant and animal ecosystem. They should therefore not be removed from parks and gardens, but rather set aside at the edges of the roads. A city in the Netherlands has urged those who take care of greenery in the city not to use blowers to sweep them away.

Autumn leaves perform a heat-insulating function for the plants themselves from which they fall: they protect them from the winter cold, preserving the roots from frost, and constitute a natural refuge for various wild animals such as, for example, the hedgehog, but also earthworms and butterflies. Furthermore, many insects feed on leaves, helping the decomposition process of other microorganisms as well.

h) Sono stati impiegati due Flash e un Faretto Led Manfrotto ML240: il primo Flash di schiarita Nikon SB-900 Wireless (sistemato su zoccolo) posizionato in alto a sinistra con parabola direzionata verso il le ali della farfalla a circa 90cm programmato sul “Canale A” con riduzione del lampo di 1+1/2 di stop + diffusore a cupola SW-13H (Nikon) + il secondo Flash Gruppo Nikon Kit Macro RiC1 con 4 Speedlight SB-200 pilotate in Wireless (I due superiori con applicato il Filtro diffusore Nikon SW-11 a quelli inferiori a schermo libero) + (riduzione del lampo delle lampade superiori di – 1 stop, aumento della potenza del lampo delle lampade inferiori di +1/3 ) + Nikon Wireless Speedlight Commander SU-800 montato sulla slitta della macchina:

i) E’ stato utilizzato il Faretto Manfrotto ML240 regolato ad 1/2 della potenza (luce 3500°Kelvin) posizionato sopra la scena (in posizione centrale) ed all’altezza delle ali della farfalla in modo da correggere le lievi ombre azzurre e abbassare la temperatura cromatica della scena per vivacizzare i colori giallo-ocra/verde delle ali della farfalla e il rosso/arancio della foglia secca ma anche per schiarire leggermente in fondo posteriore che risultava, rispetto alla scena in primo piano, di circa 3 o 4 stop più scuro.Tutto il lavoro è stato effettuato verso le ore 8,30 del mattino (luce laterale proveniente da destra parzialmente diretta del sole);

l) Impostazione Asa 100/Asa;

m) Conversione del File Raw in Tiff con Nikon Capture NX2;

n) Prima Post-Produzione Corel Photo-Paint X5 e Nikon Capture NX2;

o) Seconda Post-Produzione con Adobe Photoshop CS6;

p) Post-Produzione di completamento con Nikon Capture NX 2.
