Free time on a works trip last year. I was going to visit this place solo but was quite happy to have somebody from work show me around. Especially when we bumped into local hunters. They were a friendly bunch but i was completely unaware there would be people with rifles and crossbows looking for deer. I was hoping we'd get to the trail an hour before sunrise but i'm glad we waited for a bit of light now!

A rather fine and very tidy late build Rover Maestro Diesel 700L van M909CVC seen at the Redbeck Motel.

The Perkin Warbeck; named after the man who claimed to be the rightful heir to the throne of England and, in 1497, entered Taunton with an army of 8,000. Perkin Warbeck was cross-examined by King Henry VII, in Taunton Castle, and eventually executed.

A test shot with my new "used" 16mm Sony lens.

I know its not the best of lenses but it does make the a6300 small enough to go in a pocket. I can live with deficiencies to gain the convenience. I have the 18-105mm and its a monster on this small camera - not always what you need in the street.

A fine drop of beer - The Doom Bar is a sandbar at the mouth of the estuary of the River Camel, where it meets the Celtic Sea on the north coast of Cornwall, England.

Until the twentieth century, access to Padstow's harbour was via a narrow channel between the Doom Bar and the cliffs at Stepper Point, a difficult passage for sailing ships to navigate, especially in north-westerly gales when the cliffs would cut off the wind. Many ships were wrecked on the Doom Bar.

Have a terrific day, everyone...

Ogunquit, ME. Quintessential Perkins Cove. Always pretty.

If you were lucky enough to stay in this hotel in Perkins Cove near Kennebunkport, you would have a view of the ocean AND plenty of opportunities for HFF shots. :-)

I, however, was staying in an RV nearby and just gazed longingly at this place as I walked by. Happy Fence Friday everyone. Have a good weekend.

Malta has joined the European Ecconomic Comminity, and as such has to conform to the standards that Brussells dictate. one thing is they have to reorganise their Bus services. All te old ones with their ornate fronts have to go. Destinations as well as routes are to be clearly displayed along with a propper timetable. Along with that the Busstations are to be revamped. So it will be a sad farewell to these unique old buses., with their ornate fronts
