Another day, another waterfall! Pearson’s falls was an easy hike for our two year old grandson. Pay $5 per person and you have restrooms at the beginning and trash recepticals at the end. It is located just outside Saluda, North Carolina.

Lake Pearson - Just after yesterday I thought I should share a little more relaxed dawn, on Sunday before the fog rolled in.

I just noticed this was my 250th photo on Flickr
For the past couple of years I've met up for a day out with a fellow Flickr architectural photographer doing the thing that we both really enjoy, photographing architecture. Joseph Pearson (I've linked to his photostream in the first comment box) and I spent a happy few hours walking around Bermondsey and Canary Wharf back in May. I hope that we can continue to have an annual meet up to shoot a few pictures and better yet, shoot the breeze over a coffee or two. These two buildings, both newer structures within the Canary Wharf estate, sit next to each other and make what I think is an interesting juxtaposition of architectural styles.

This beautiful aquarium at the Toronto Pearson Airport caught my eyes and blew my mind away the first time I saw it. It was the most beautiful mess I had ever seen. Whenever I see it it reminds me of asteroids and the Cosmic Mess......

C-GEGI, an Airbus A330-343, on approach to runway 24R at Toronto Pearson International Airport in Mississauga, Ontario. It was arriving as ACA7217 (Air Canada) from Madrid, Spain.
This is one of three A330-300s that Air Canada had converted into dedicated freighters during the COVID-19 pandemic. 255 of its 285 passenger seats were removed and cargo zones were established throughout the cabin. The 30 expensive J-class seats remained in place under protective coverings.
The mascara-like lines running down from the cabin windows is an appropriate metaphor for the financial damage being wreaked upon the global airline industry by the pandemic.

It was my first time visiting Pearson's Falls in Saluda North Carolina. I was pleasantly surprised at how big the waterfall is compared to how it looks it photos. There had been several weeks of heavy rains in the mountains so the river had a serious flow which made photographing the falls up close a challenge. The falls itself was a beautiful subject but I really loved this area just downstream from the waterfall. Something about the lush green and the way the water cascades over this section of the river really caught my eye.

So at least it shows I'm improving I a bit over time, which is much of the fun of photography...there's always something to learn. But between football games, I thought I'd post this one. Can't wait for some cooler weather to come back.
