For Macro Mondays - Paper Art

With the kids home schooling we have been doing some baking. Cup Cakes and Chocolate Crackles have been favourites.

With all that is going on today with the tightening of our restrictions/having to get an authorised worker permit so I can move about as needed, the only thing I could come up with were these patti pans waiting for the next baking session.

Happy Macro Monday!

This Jay has become a dear friend - I fondly name her Patti-Jay.

"Pretty Garden African Daisy" by Patti Deters. This pretty flower stands out among the garden flowers and is called African Daisy (osteospermum). Also called cape daisy, it's an annual plant that blooms all summer long. The flower and the garden background are from Minnesota. Several overlays of soft watercolor strokes and canvas textures has been applied for a romantic and artistic effect. This is one in a series, the others can be found at the links below. If you like outdoor nature artwork, please see more plants and other flora at patti-deters.pixels.com.

These were from a show called "Divas with Heart." This was a remarkable show featuring Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan, Patti Labelle, and Dianna Ross.

Patti Per Shayla and The Mayhaps

We finally found a vintage Patti Playpal that we could afford! Patti just came home and she's adorable. 😊 She was immediately taken from us as the My Size Barbies claimed her as their own.

"You're gonna have so much fun here, Patti!"

"It looks fun. I need a wash."

"Don't you worry, Paprika will get you cleaned up real good!"

"I need a hair bwush too..."

"Hey, calm down now. Hair rarely gets brushed in Paprihaven. This isn't Cooper's Town, you know!"

"oh..."

Last week I posted a picture of some Patti Smith artwork that I put up in Hosier Lane.

My good friend Mary Lee let me know that she had some photos of Patti in concert in Milwaukee from the late 70s that were taken by her brother Tom.

Mary Lee and Tom have been kind enough to let me use the photos to create some more art honouring Patti Smith, a musician and poet who we all love.

This is the second of five posters I've created (there could be more, who knows).

Thanks to Mary Lee and Tom for letting me use their photos and for re-igniting my love of Patti's music.
