I've taken quite a liking to making River Rock Art abstracts out of the things I find just beneath the water in rivers and creeks.

I find the patterns of natural processes such as drying, cracking, etc very beautiful and enjoy using them as the basis for creating "natural abstracts". I am particularly interested in patterns of flow and branching, See comment below for the original photo of an emptied paintcan.
