Leaf from one of my green bean plants. It has shriveled up and is less than 2". The plants are winding down after a prodigious crop of green beans.

I came across a new kind of mushroom today. They’re called Luxury Caps.

I love the mourning doves. They are gentle little souls, never aggressive at the feeders. They mate for life, so I usually see them in pairs. This one's mate was sitting on a nearby branch.

Macro Mondays: Redux 2019--My Favourite Theme of the Year

I have chosen July 15: patterns in nature.

The wildflowers are no longer blooming in southern Indiana, USA, but sometimes their seedpods, fluff, and other winter remnants are nearly as pretty as the blooming flowers. They are far more monochrome, but that allows their designs to be all the more visible. Dozens of this particular plant were available, so I looked around for designs I liked and photographed them. They were tiny, probably an inch or so across.

A showcase for patterns in nature.

They were all over my backyard this morning 😊

I took a few photos of plants for this week's Macro Mondays theme "Patterns in Nature" and decided to post this one of a miniature rose because I liked the contrast of the pale petals against the darker background. I had a nice shot of a thistle bud, taken from above, but unfortunately it got a little lost against the vegetation in the background so I decided against posting it in the group.

Fruit still clinging to the branches. Shriveling and drying while it hangs.
