What it is?
Probably caused by natural saponins, this foam streams down our creek, collects in eddies and along the lakeshore where it forms interesting patterns.
Here is a bare bones skeleton of a pattern created by Sandy Bartholomew, which I have rendered and modified in AutoCad. Please feel free to use it for your own creations. I look forward to see what my fellow tanglers do with it.
Noticed this pool/fountain while watching a street performance outside Paragon, Orchard Road :)
Quickly turn my camera to this and took a few shots, i'm happy with the results.
Guess the shelve of Photography books which I stumbled on at the bookstore really allowed my eyes to open wider, giving me more inspirations.

I had originally thought the common name might refer to the pattern in the bark, like argyle socks. (I don't actually see it--just guessing.) Well, not so much. Apparently this species of Eucalyptus is native to an area that included Argyle Co. in New South Wales, which has had its name changed since the name was applied to the tree. The apple part of the common name is apparently from someone thinking the bark resembled that of an apple tree, though this tree may be more furrowed than some and not the best example. But that deep pattern and those angles are what attracted me. The species name cinerea means "ash-colored," referring to the foliage's silvery-blue-green appearance. This particular tree is a street tree in Morro Bay, California

A modern day TV test pattern. Test patterns were first used to assist TV set owners with adjusting their sets, but today's are for studio use and are a rare sight over the air (a local station was airing this on an unused sub-channel until programming was added).

Pessima luce negli stagni di Minzolino ma i riflessi nell'acqua mi piacevano per questo Airone bianco maggiore (Ardea alba) in volo
Bad light in Minzolino ponds but I liked the pattern in reflection of water during the Great Egret flight (Ardea alba)
