Estimated to be 15 or 16 years old (average life expectancy for jaguars in the Pantanal is 11-12 years), Patricia is one of the most famous and widely documented wild jaguars in Brazil's Pantanal region. Roaming the Cuiabá River and its tributaries in the Porto Jofre area, she is celebrated as a master hunter and the "Grande Dame" of the northern Pantanal. She is mother to Medrosa and grandmother to Marcela and Pantaneiro, both children of Medrosa.
Here she stopped by for an evening drink, accompanied by her son, Makala, now a year old. She is a bit grumpy in her old age and did not like the flies.
It was quite the a thrill to see such a celebrated and venerated lady. Despite having lost an eye to glaucoma, she is still as regal and majestic as ever.
Patricia Lake is a lake in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada, near the town of Jasper. It was named for Princess Patricia of Connaught, a granddaughter of Queen Victoria.

Patricia lake was the site of a secret WWII project called "Habakkuk", which was a plan to build an unsinkable aircraft carrier out of a mixture of ice and wood pulp, called "Pykrete" named after Geoffrey Pyke who came up with the idea.

A week ago the transfer was made (highly anticipated) of the 269.4 of ALSA Rail "Patricia", of the 269,353 of Go Transport and two cars that are owned by ALSA Rail. Adif 310.049 is in charge of this transfer, carried by Tracción Rail personnel. Here you can see said transfer passing through the Olloniego fork viaduct, always used for goods. 04-21-2021
