Que decir de un patio en Córdoba ... Pues el que tiene la suerte de tenerlo lo cuida y lo quiere y lo disfruta y lo enseña y presume de patio . Este es un patio de un edificio visitarle y Antoni debe tener referencias de él , pues cruzamos de una calle a otra , creo que a la Calleja de las flores. Aquí lo dejo presumiendo de patio...
Pero un patio cordobés sin verso y sin guitarra ...
¡ Como sonríe Mayo !
¡ Como las flores cabalgan!
Haciendo mil garabatos
trepando por las ventanas
de esos patios cordobeses
que riega el rocío por la mañana
allí donde la belleza crece
allí donde el alma descansa
a la sombra de un clavel
o un geránio de color grana
fuente que invita a beber
en esa Cordobíta llana.
Yo hoy, pondré una flor en mi solapa
para llevar su perfume
en los pliegos de mi capa
y regalarlo a los vientos
y al regazo de mi chulapa
sentimiento y arte, hecho poesía
maravillas de una manos
que los cuidan con alegría,
y junto al pozo una moza
que hasta el sentío te quita..

The patio is that part of a construction that lacks a roof and that, in general, is intended for recreation so that the inhabitants or users of the building can enjoy the outdoors. The advantage of patios is that they allow the use of an open space in terms of design, but private in terms of access.
The city of Toledo, has cataloged more than 700, and they are the legacy of previous civilizations, probably their origin comes from the Roman civilization.
Some of its access doors are dozens, hundreds of years old and have a history behind them like the one in the photograph.

El patio es aquella parte de una construcción que carece de techo y que, por lo general, se destina a la recreación para que los habitantes o los usuarios del edificio puedan disfrutar al aire libre. La ventaja de los patios es que permiten hacer uso de un espacio abierto en cuanto a su diseño, pero privado en cuanto al acceso.
La ciudad de Toledo, tiene catalogados mas de 700, y son el legado de las civilizaciones anteriores, probablemente su origen provenga de la civilizacion romana.

The Festival is over and the patios are back to normal. Its solitary beauty that the photographer, of favor, and the caretaker come to daily. The flowers deaf to the days gone by: thousands of people through these beautiful corridors and the "clicks" of the cameras... noise and for a few days the flowers will miss the compliments of the crowd and the noise, a lot of noise.
But they will return to their silence and some pots will be changed and indifferent they will get used to silence like hermits, but they will always know of its beauty.

that waters the dew in the morning
there where beauty grows,
where the soul rests
in the shade of a carnation
or a scarlet geranium.
Se acabó el Festival y los patios vuelven a su normalidad. Su belleza solitaria a la que acude el fotógrafo, de favor, y el cuidador diariamente. Las flores sordas ante lo pasados días : miles de personas por estos bellísimos pasillos y los " clic " de las cámaras... ruido y durante unos días las flores echaran de menos los piropos del gentío y el ruido ,mucho ruido .
Pero volverán a su silencio y algunas macetas serán cambiadas e indiferentes se acostumbraran al silencio como los eremitas , pero siempre sabrán de su belleza .

The snow followed by one of these now infamous "polar vortexes," bringing real temps (not wind chill) overnight to a nippy -25F/-31C, rising all the way to 0F/-18C over the day....these pleasing conditions to last at least a week.
Yesterday was a really warm day, so Vas'ka tried to find the cool place in the shadow on the steps in patio. Lilies of the valley
grow in the pot next to the stairs.

It seems this character has taken to finding lunch on our patio , think it has a taste for the whirly bird seeds still hanging around .
The shot was taken through the closed patio doors , so a shot through double glazing !
