... for the weekend - TGIF!

European Robin / Rotkehlchen (Erithacus rubecula)

in our garden - Frankfurt-Nordend

This chickadee had its eye on a snag that had several potential nesting cavities. Then, another chickadee flew into one of the cavities which made me wonder if they were building a nest. I stayed for a moment to see what would happen, but neither chickdee moved. Not wanting to disturb them, I took off. I returned a few days later, but I didn't see them.

Thank you for viewing and for leaving me a comment! Have a great day and week!

I had 15 that eclosed today... sadly one had to be euthanized... but still waiting for this one to enter the world! I spritzed it with water hoping this would help, but so far, still closed up tightly... which is very strange....

Fingers crossed this one is healthy.... bringing my total to date to: 447

Spotted this one quite far off before sunrise. I slowly worked my across the 100m of open brush knowing fully well it was going to fly off. Not only did it not fly off, the sun was kind enough to rise and give me lovely light
