One more pelican shot from my visit last month to Dixon, Illinois, where I saw a number of these birds congregated on the river that flows through town. I think this is the last one.

Just a path, that winds through a small, secluded and quiet valley, somewhere in this world, and the path disappears behind the small knoll. Insignificant, not spectacular, but it's just there. And everyone who uses it enjoys its existence and its function. Without saying a word or a thought about it. Did he deserve it?

Another path where large machines can gain access to the forest and golf course. I make it sound busy, but you could wait for days and only see a few horses or the local running club!
