Somehow I never noticed this ginkgo-lined path at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. It doesn't go anywhere me--behind me in this photo, it dead ends into a stand of hollies.
The last PATH shot from the trip. Best embiggened. This is from Ennis, Montana. Ennis lake (and the direction east) is behind me. I was so concentrated on the sunrise and the lake that I almost missed what was happening behind me :-)

As in life, the Game of Happiness has many twists and turns. This is not the fully assembled gameboard--love and knowledge have 3-D attachments, as does the central direction pointer in the rainbow circle.

This is the oldest chapel in the United Kingdom, built over 1300 years ago.
It's a very peaceful place.

Our efforts to sweep the path clear not having been entirely successful here, as further snow had fallen earlier that morning (19 Dec 2010)
We are all walking paths, similar and dissimilar, parallel and intersecting, up and down, rough or smooth. Life is not perfect. There are many mistakes made along the way as we travel the various paths of mortality. But we should view each experience we have as a learning experience.
Along our paths we find moments of joy and sorrow.
We don’t always have the choice of paths to follow. Some paths we would never choose and yet, at times, we find our footsteps upon them.
At times, we struggle. But we can choose how those experiences will ultimately affect us. We can choose to learn from them, defining moments of our lives come in what we choose to become in spite of them.
Life goes on. Experiences continue to come. Joy can follow along the way. Let us learn to be more wise in our choices as we travel this road of mortality. And let us not try to travel it alone.

On April 13, 2023, The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced that the first of 72 new PATH rail cars will be deployed for service starting next week, part of the agency’s $1 billion PATH Improvement Plan to reduce delays and enhance the overall customer experience. The new high-performance rail cars will supplement the current fleet of 350 and will be gradually integrated into the system throughout 2023 and into 2024, marking an increase of more than 20 percent in rolling stock.
This footage shows a train set with some of the new Kawasaki rail cars at the PATH Hoboken station.
