On this day last year we were winding down after an action filled day in Paige Arizona. Our grandiose plans of the morning were only partially fulfilled as we ran out of steam so we putt-putted back to our hotel room and flopped :)

I stopped by Wright-Locke Farm yesterday when I saw that there would be a decent sunset, and found the five goats grazing happily on the hillside. Rufus kept his head down much of the time, only lifting his head to bleat at me, as if to say, "I'm busy, just pat me already."

Pat's Pride and joy is a bolted-up seafront beach hut at Shoeburyness, Essex. But Pat's happy ... :-) Perhaps, it could be PolPat's old gaff from his Sa'fend days ....

This house was built after the convict period from salvaged materials. Made from convict bricks, odd blocks of sandstone and iron from benzene drums, it was never a place of luxury. The last tenant of the cottage devoted her time to its garden, which has become an attraction in its own right.

I kept having to pat her and take a step back to attempt a photo, then she'd approach again. She's very sweet and gentle.

Hope you have a lovely Thursday and thank you kindly for your visits.

The U.S has very nice rest stops that always seem to be clean and sometimes provide some historic landmarks and information of the surrounding area.

Dedicated to Pat Horne. a magnificent photographer, and friend.

"Pat Ganahl passed away yesterday in a drag racing accident at the Estranged Car Club show," said Anna Marco, a former longtime staff member of Rod & Custom magazine who worked under Pat Ganahl for many years. "He was in the Iacono dragster when it happened. He never lifted and went into the woods at the end of the track. We think he had a medical issue in the car, possibly a heart attack. He said he wasn't feeling well and wanted one more run. His wife Anna was there and said he died doing what he loved because he wasn't a retirement home kind of guy"
