The paper factory was founded in 1887 by family Schweizer and changed the owner several times. 1930 a hydro power plant with 5 Francis turbines (2.2 MW) was erected. During the last years corrugated board base papers were produced on a waste paper basis, with a capacity of 165000 tons/year. Abandoned since 2013, when 100 employees lost their job. - Austria
Abandoned since 2013, unfortunately the two paper machines have been dismantled, but there can still be found some interesting places in the factory. This is the place where the paper machine one stood.

In a room beneath the Steinmüller cyklon boiler there are some nice machines, which are boiler feedwater pumps, most of them built by Halberg.

The old boiler house contains two water pipe radiant boilers by Steinmüller, built in 1936 and 1950, with travelling grate firing for hard coal - operating pressure 25 atü.
