We spent last weekend in Athens, Alabama with family for a pre-Christmas gathering. We were able to see the paper factory from the condo balcony. I expected to see the moon fall behind the smokestacks just like the sun, but it took a different path. It was still an amazing site. It has been a long time since I have done any night photography. This is my favorite phase of the moon (just a sliver) with Venus not far off.
