Getting out for a skate has seemed to be evern more of a mission than it was last year. The weather has been so poor this year that when talk of a winter warehouse being just around the corner of a mates house we got straight out and on it. Me, Ray and Wil got out and on it and had a good explore of the place and finished it off with a fun skate but just as we was getting ready to wrap it up Ray pulled out this banger of a trick. It was too dark to film so I decided to shoot it instead and once set up Ray banged it out again for us making it look all to easy, Porn star on the box behindhim then gaping over to allyoop soul the box in the foreground. Shot with my Sigma 10mm Fisheye and lit with two Canon 540E's, both behind me and too my left with one set at 1/8th the power and the other at 1/4th the power with a diffuser.
This abandoned KA-Bar fire log factory in Brawley, Calif. is currently being torn down. This is one of the remaining rooms, a storage room of some sort. There is a hole in the floor that leads to a basement, at least twelve feet deep, covered in trash, mud, and possibly sewage. This is why it is important to take a buddy and a flashlight along when photographing abandoned places (I had neither one of those). Had I fallen into that hole, nobody would have found me for a long time, if ever.
