I took this late afternoon shot looking along a valley towards Cathedral Peak, which is the distant peak on the right side of this panoramic landscape. Cathedral Peak is the main point of access to some of the wildest areas of the central Drakensberg, and provides some most spectacular scenery.

Gulucun is a tiny village in China's Guangxi province - some might say "in the middle of nowhere".
Shot taken in winter - the dry season. And it's cold there in winter....
In summer it's unbearable hot and humid with lots of rain.

The building with the impressive roof on the left is the Yantai Railway Station. In the right background is the CIMC Raffles shipyard with four offshore drilling rigs under construction. The taller of the two gantry cranes is "Taisun" (泰山 tàishān), the World's largest gantry crane with a lifting capacity of 20,000 metric tonnes. Taken from the viewing platform of the Yantai Lighthouse.
Stitched panorama from 18 photos, taken at 112 mm focal length (35mm equivalent). When doing panoramas with telephoto focal lengths, one always ends up stitching many images. Horizontal field of view is about 160°. Size reduced for upload. To see all the details: XXL view definitely is a must for this image.
Re-edited and re-posted archive shot.

The typical houses of the Ribeira of Porto, in a nonexistent perspective created as fusion of several images (one for each house façade) taken from ground level and always maintaining the focus plane parallel to itself, to ensure maximum resolution from left to right edge. Shipwrights Bay, Blakehurst, Sydney, looking south across the Georges River towards Tom Uglys Bridge and Sylvania at sunset. A panorama of six photos merged in Photoshop. I have previously posted single photos taken from this point. This is my first attempt at a panorama.
Looks better enlarged.

The mountain Vestrahorn and the Stokksnes peninsula in the foreground.
This is a panorama created from two images using Photoshop. I originally tried to use Lightroom to create this panorama, but it couldn't find a way to merge them into a single image.

I already posted www.flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/31240829477/in/datepo... what was the end view of my hike to Munken. This is in the beginning of the hike, where I came from sea level (somewhere on the left of the picture) and this is after ca 300 meters climbing. The magnificent view here was only the beginning of ridiculously many wonderful shots from which it is hard to choose. More to follow!
Further more you can see that it is still early in spring, where the green grass is just starting to awake.
