How do artists transfer energy from one space to the next? Questions and answers by artists, writers, world travelers, bloggers and summercampers. What is home?
A closing panel conversation: non locality and the transference of space, energy and memory moderated by Tarra Stevenson, writer & educator will include panelists: Carol Cheh, performance art writer, David P. Earle IV, artist, writer & educator, Douglas Rompasky, nomadic computer programmer—traveling for the past two years around the world on his bicycle, Christian Tedeschi, the artist representative of the current exhibition, and Liza Wade Green, performing artist who will be at Summercamp for a residency at the end of October.
This rare carved panel was found in the Bowcastle area, and depicts a coifed female head in profile. The arch above the head is typical of the "Romayne" style, typical of the first half of the 16th century.
While is is possible that this may have been part of the ship, as there was a fashion for decorating warships with ornate decoration, it's considered more likely that this would have been part of an item of furniture.

The repaired window panels have been refitted and a new fibreglass wheelarch panel fitted too. Also the damage to one of the roof panels has been beaten out and has a nice curve to it again.
Stained glass panel by Emma Stewart.
Three years of study at the Architectural Stained Glass Department at Swansea culminated in the degree show, with each student (usually fewer in number by now than at the start!) allocated a window space in the building to display their work, with a mixture of panels representing the various techniques explored and styles developed by each individual.
I usually took a full set of photos of each show (I was known for being obsessive compulsive with a camera even then!) and felt uploading the full set best represents the range of talents and ideas, in many cases of people who never worked in the medium in post-college life.
If any of my contemporaries are looking in I hope they will be flattered and see this as a tribute to their achievements. If for any reason anyone is unhappy about their work being shared online to please let me know.

I celebrated my birthday, in 2014, by adding one new salt cellar to my collection. As some of you will recall, I completed my "official" collecting in October, 2013, on the first anniversary of my mom's passing. Since then, once in a while, I've had the itch to collect & have decided to give myself permission to add to my collection on special occasions. I located 2 additional glass & brass curio cabinets, as well as a small trinket box, to display my treasures & was able to locate a new place to shop--Gloria's Flea Market on Route 196 in Topsham, Maine, USA--open, year-round, Thursday-Sunday--reasonably priced! I already had two master salts in this panelled thistle pattern & had seen this color for $10 on an earlier trip to Maine. Got it at Gloria's for $3.75! Nice birthday surprise! Here is a picture of the three salts I have in this pattern.
