... or how to bring colour into a grey world.
This week's theme of the 'Smile on Saturday' group is 'Selective Colour'. I used to love selective colour but for some reason haven't used it in a long time, so I was very happy with the theme. Mousie obviously enjoyed the theme too ! :) HSoS !

It is always good to remember that what we consider old now, back in the day was very modern. Case in point is this part of the church Saint Etienne in Perriers-sur-Andelle. The church itself is medieval, founded in the 11th century, with some architectural details added in the 14th century. But not here. Here we can quite obviously see some later works, this is not medieval (and the church did see substantial work done in the 16th and the 19th century). So at one point this was the modern, up-to-date part of the church when the rest of it was more or less dated and old-fashioned.
This is a part of a painting representing a bouquet of tulips whose author is unknown to me. It was a gift from the office colleagues for a sick person.

Een tijdje terug was ik voor nachtopnames in ons park. Ik experimenteerde toen ook met beweging. Dit is is de lichtreclame van onze plaatselijke chinees.
A while ago I was for night shoots in our park. I also experimented with movement at the time. This is the neon sign of our local Chinese.
Thanks for taking time to fave, comment and look at my work. I really appreciate.
What an amazing scene this was there in the middle of the day with the lovely sky, painted South Dakota landscape ... and the dry white mound that I was standing on overlooking the scene. The three layers of the scene was fun to frame up there.
Captured with the CPL filter.

Even because these flowers don't even exist anymore. :(
The heat of Rio is indeed relentless for indoor plants.

When a camera meets a brush?
Thank you deckersamy and Patricia de Chenier for inspire me to make this picture
I am not that good with a brush in my hand, but give me two minutes with the shutter open I can get pretty close to painting this scene.
Might be neat to take one of these shots from Ocean City and apply some brush textures to it ;)
for Smile on Saturday ;-)
