I took this image last summer in Sweden, together with my son on the lake Hjälmsjön.

Rice fields at Salvaterra de Magos, Portugal

Every year, at the end of harvest, the rice fields are filled with straw that has to be burned to prepare the land to be sown the following year.
The oil painting was painted by someone named Bos.
Unfortunately, I have no information about this painter.
The painting belonged to my parents and hangs somewhere in my house.

Een tijdje terug was ik voor nachtopnames in ons park. Ik experimenteerde toen ook met beweging. Dit is is de lichtreclame van onze plaatselijke chinees.
A while ago I was for night shoots in our park. I also experimented with movement at the time. This is the neon sign of our local Chinese.

Saw this guy teaching a watercolor class in Arrowtown NZ, he walked away from the easel and I took the shot. Arrow town is an old gold mining town on the South Island. If you look closely you can see some gold in the creek. Submitted to 52 in 2016 as my favorite in 2016
It was Sunday morning in June
Trees in my garden provide shades and shelters
I like the shadow paintings of the tree
That shadow areas are relatively flat and dark
The walls have these paintings on sunny days
Sunlight paintings on the white house
I like the dark shadow paintings from the sun
The shadows have no higher saturation of color.
