losing someone makes you take a step back and reflect ~ days ago my rl cousin became one of God's angels...we grew up together, partied together and even though time drifted us apart I still feel and will always feel this togetherness as cousins do. I wish her peace in her new journey as she is now painfree...β™₯

Hello friends and contacts. I am back! I got to see the doctor yesterday and less then 24 hours later I captured this Blue Heron. I am feeling much better but I need to take it easy. I am about 95% painfree right now. I don't think I will be posting everyday but I hope to be posting much more often. No need for group invites. I will just be happy with a comment. I missed you all.

Duke, my shepherd/husky cousin (Dad's daughter's dog), has been unwell the past month or so. He suddenly came up sickly and lame and the final diagnosis is sclerosis of the liver, coupled with a knee infection and arthritis. He is undergoing dietary and drug experimentation to see if his illness can be stabilized so he can live out the remainder of his life relatively painfree and with the quality he deserves.

He is now twelve and has such a wonderful disposition towards everyone he knows and trusts. It looks like our days of long walks are over, but hopefully we can get him round for a visit and photos in the spring.

Wish him luck.

This photo was taken during his last visit with us over the Christmas holidays.

I am sure he is trying to tell us something. Our Dobermann Akesh, he is 9 years old now. Every week whe go to the veterinarian because he has diabetes and bad hips. Today he told us its getting worse. He gave us other painkillers and he will try to give him something for his muscles in his hips, so he can walk painfree and much easier. I am sure this is the last year he will be with us, because we know when the time arrived, whe do what we have to do. How hard it is. But for now, i don't want to think about it. Not today.

For my favorite aunt who passed away this sunday...I know you have gone to a peaceful, painfree place but we ll miss you much! :'(

No.... unforgivable. Completely, and totally.... I'm so sorry.

And my initial excuse was that " a 9 is an upside down 6". Yeah, that's not going to fly.... because here it is the 9th... at the end of the day... and I thought it was the 8th.... oh... I give up. Truth is... I can't remember anything. Just ask the people that I work with. It's a fact!! Anyway... I took photos on MY birthday....for YOUR birthday... so that I would have them ready to post...and STILL, I screwed up!! (Do I at least get credit for thinking of you on my birthday?) *sigh* ... I try, I really do.

Anyway, a very happy belated birthday to my fun, funny and talented friend that can always make me smile. (I wish I could make up words like you do!) You know, as always, I wish nothing but the absolute best for you... calm, peaceful, painfree days (without dumpster dives and clogged toilets) full of love and friends and laughter. I am thankful for your support and friendship. Happy Birthday Jon... a few days late (because... well, I suck!!)

I am sorry I am late with my wishes .... but I send them with love! β™₯

(Am I forgiven?) You are unforgettable.... I wish your birthday had been too~

A feral horse watches the sunrise in the American Southwest.

Well what do we do....but pick ourselves up and start all over again.

Hope so :) anyway.

Saw my surgeon today and my spinal surgery is scheduled for the Friday 28th August. He is doing this on his day off and is not charging me (except for what my medical fund will pay). How great is that?

All I can say is, that I cannot wait to be painfree again. But you will have to humour & endure me when I dig through all my archives as I am supposed to be out of commission (supposedly) for 3 months LOL.

my dear flickr friend saira had to say goodbye to her precious sasha yesterday..he had a disease that could not be cured..he did not get to be a year old..my tears are flowing for the both of them..her for not being able to see him grow up and for him not being able to stay with her and the love she had for him..

dear saira..i am weeping with you,,but trying to take comfort in the fact that beautiful sasha is not suffering anymore..but running around painfree..but probably missing you..

this rose is a tribute..representing my tears of sadness for you..for sasha..

X-ray wiew from the side of her stiffened knee. There is now rigid bone all trough the joint and reversing this would include a total replacement and complicated surgery with high risks of complications, a thing that the doctors would not do, after all she has a painfree and functional leg now. (Stiff, fused knee right side. Her knee joint fused together in completely straight position by mistake during immobilisation for treatment of a septical bacterial inflammation (year 2001) and was not possible to break up again with any hope of function.)

Why is it that when you meet a pet that appears to not care at all about you, that he's the one you become most attached to?

We had a very rough weekend with our little buddy. Emotionally it's been a rollercoaster. We're trying to make his last days with us as painfree and pleasant as possible.

I never thought I could learn much from a cat. I was wrong, thanks for the lessons buddy.

The third post corona crisis commercial livery tram I spotted in Amsterdam. Combino 2058 is promoting white and painfree teeth to the Amsterdam public. Cavex is something I have never heard of. Tram 3 on the tram stop Ferdinand Bolstraat, the transfer stop to the NoordZuid metroline (M52).

This Siemens Combino 2058 was delivered to the GVB on 29/01/2003 and first on duty on 22/02/2003 on tram line 3.

What's Mother's Day without taking a picture with you baby? Everytime I hold her in any sort of silly way she says "I got a baby!" lol Silly girl.

I became a mom March 12th 2008 to my beautiful baby girl, Leilani Kiana. I had an easy pregnancy, never once got morning sickness (just lots of headaches). Birth was painfree for the most part (gotta love epidurals :D). She weighed 7lbs 2oz and was 19 inches long. Her ambilical cord was wrapped around her neck 3 times, but she came out happy and healthy. Now she's 2 years old and so much fun to be around. She is full of personality. I love everyday I get to spend with my daughter. I'm just rambling. . . Anyway, I'm a proud mommy. And I hope all you other moms have a great day!

I guess they won't be fawns much longer as they approach their first birthday. What would you give a deer for its birthday?

Another informational only - thanks for stopping by - comments are still turned off:

A mule deer's life typically begins in May or June. The mature doe's will often give birth to twins, while yearling doe's generally only have one fawn. Fawns will usually stay with their mother for the first year of their life.

Mule deer originally received their name because of their large ears, which resemble that of a mule. They have incredible hearing, great noses and can see very well.

By spring these deer are very lively and ready to move to higher ground. Mule deer return to their summer ranges as soon as the snow starts melting and temperatures begin to warm.

Winter came back today, with frosty air and snow.

Took the D., the camera and the speedlight and made the best out of it. All in all it was a wonderful day. And I felt completely painfree for the first time after three weeks. Training starts on Tuesday... :-)

Yesterday my first kidney stone redefined the word "excruciating" for me. Torrential rain echoed my agony as I did a passable imitation of Banshee from the X-Men.

Saturday dawned sunny and beautiful. Percocet makes everything especially lovely.

Thanks to all the nice folks who put up with my shenanigans in the ER: Dr. Joe, Miss Denise and Favorite Judy. Doubling down on the pain meds was the best call ever.

Saw some cool vehicles today, too.

β€œIt's so curious: one can resist tears and 'behave' very well in the hardest hours of grief. But then someone makes you a friendly sign behind a window, or one notices that a flower that was in bud only yesterday has suddenly blossomed, or a letter slips from a drawer... and everything collapses.” --- Sidonie Gabrielle Colette

I felt I was handling things pretty well and then Cracker Barrel told me they were out of macaroni & cheese. I lost it! For my sister, it was a bank telling her she could only have six counter checks instead of the 11 she needed for my mom's estate. You just gotta laugh---after you cry!

I figure I've already paid my dues with going through childbirth twice.

We lost Lucky on January 10, 2014. I can only imagine what is going on in heaven at this moment. Cat toys are flying around everywhere! That was the worst thing about seeing Lucky lose her fight with that horrible tumor that plagued her. She had stopped playing with the toys that she loved so very much. I think seeing Lucky lose her battle was one of the hardest things I've experienced at the shelter. I know I have missed playing catch with tiny little stuffed mice and playing pingpong with Miss Lucky and losing! What a joy she was...just so happy to be alive. And that FACE! Nobdoy had a kitty face like that...or purr! Or I should say PURR! Miss Lucky, I'm so very glad I met you (and your sister, Penny). I know you are painfree and running around tormenting little stuffed mice! Rest well, pretty girl.

Dale and his wife Cindy, discuss past snoring solutions which basically entail Cindy leaving the bedroom. They are hope to remedy that situation. Dale talks about his consultation visit where he met Molly Young, the Sereno Chief Nursing Officer and Dr Mingrone, Sereno's Medical Director. They provide him with answers and further reading material to take home to his wife.

In this video, we filmed Dale getting the Pillar Procedure. You can see this snoring solution is simple, easy and pain free. We also filmed the radio frequency coblation as part of the Nasal Turbinate Reduction Procedure, which is also easy and painfree.

Dale will return to Sereno to take part in the Lifestyle Changes Program.

We almost lost her. She took sick and was rushed to the emergency room. She said that she felt herself dying twice while there. She said it was so peaceful and painfree. She could hear and see the doctors and nurses telling her to stay with them .At first she thought she could leave because all her children were all grown. Then she remembered all her animals that she takes care of ( 10 cats, 5 dogs,a bird, and two little rats she rescued from her son's snake)and she decided she needed to fight to live.

I'm so glad she is still with us.I'm so thankful for all the animals too.
