Bartolomé Island is named after Sir Bartholomew James Sulivan, an English naval lieutenant who took part in Darwin's voyage on the Beagle. The island is located east of Santiago Island. The eastern part of the island is made up of volcanic cones, while the western part is a peninsula with several rock formations including Pinnacle Rock, a steep volcanic rock.
Sea Anemones and Crabs were my Companions on a Delightful visit to the Tide Pools at Corona Del Mar, California.
As excited children scurried from one pool to another shrieking at the sight of colorful sea life, this old guy was practically on hands and knees scrambling back to safety from the advancing tide. Do it while you can... Life is Good : )

(Michael is a little slow replying to Flickr friends. . .working in the big garden a couple weeks ago he injured himself -- herniated disk impinging on his sciatic nerve so is very limited in mobility now)
