Providence & Worcester CT-1 finishes up spotting empties at Red Technologies in Portland, CT and prepares to cross the bridge back over to Middletown with OHCR 8530 and PW 2009.

Sunday, October 30th, 2016 marked the last Providence & Worcester passenger train to run under P&W ownership. The "Two Rivers" passenger excursion is seen here enroute to the Valley Railroad crossing the Shaw Cove moveable bridge at New London, CT on Amtrak's Shore Line.

At 12:01a on November 01, 2016 the P&W will officially become a property of the Genesee & Wyoming. This will add a third major regional railroad to the G&W's New England operations alongside the New England Central and the Connecticut Southern. Time will tell how long before the new ownership begins to show.

PW 4069, NECR 3015 and 437 lead 608 south over a foggy Horton Cove along the Thames River in Montville, CT. This is one of the first runs down to New London since the derailment in Mansfield weeks ago, and with the cleanup finally complete they should be getting back to a normal schedule.

I definitely need to get going earlier in the morning to avoid all these people.

Falling snow at The Bean / Cloud Gate in Chicago. I had been hoping to catch it without too many people around on a bad-weather morning, but lots of other people had the same idea as me.

A gloomy morning finds a hostler preparing to move PW 4005 (B40-8W blt. Feb. 1992 as ATSF 561) inside the railroad's south Worcester shop while PW 2007 (EMD GP38-2 blt. Nov. 1980 new for the PW). The red and brown of the pre independent Providence an Worcester Railroad still abounds more than nearly 9 years after the second era of independence came to an end, and the new master's image is boldly proclaimed on the engine house doors.

Reminded of some unposted P&W stuff by Blaze's addition this morning here's my shot of the Valley Falls job at Ashton.

I want this shot in the jobs normal mid morning time slot but I'll settle for dark side with foliage....for now.

A lovely fall morning finds GP38-2s 2008 and 2007 (built new for the railroad in Dec. and Nov. 1980 respectively, only 7 years after the company had regained its independence after 85 years of being leased to the Penn Central, New Haven and its predecessors) assigned to Providence and Worcester Railroad's Valley Falls based local PR3 paused on the 200 ft. long deck girder bridge over the Blackstone River at MP 5.8 on the PW's historic mainline. The river crossing forms the border between the town of Cumberland and the city of Central Falls and is the southernmost of 14 crossings of the Blackstone along the 43 mile historic original Providence and Worcester mainline.

23K cleared Gardner at the same time that the crew of GRWO started walking back up to the head end of their train. Dan and I got out of town quick and headed for Hubbardston. This whole line is foreign to me, so I was more than grateful to have Dan lead the way. Upon arrival at Moosehorn Pond, the clouds really thickened up, but the reflection was solid, so we waited it out. Not too long before the southbound showed, Dan took a peek at the western sky with his drone, and much to our surprise saw a decent break in the clouds. As the horn on the lead GE announced its arrival in Hubbardston, the sun broke through setting up a killer shot. A trio of Dash 8s catch some late evening sun, as the train makes its way back south to Worcester, skirting Moosehorn Pond.

Music Theme so i made 3 simple and sexy black dresses with different styles, long or middle sleeves with sculpted cuffs.

90L of course, available from 31th to 11th !

These little flies are waiting for the Ox-eye Daises to open enough for them to lay their eggs. Have a close look at the florets in these daisies and you might see that some are raised higher than the others. The larvae of these little beauties is probably responsible. HFDF!

Providence & Worcester train CT-1 thunders south through Williams road in Wallingford, CT. The cold skies and early blue hour are an indication that winter is just a stones throw away.

PW B40-8 4004 sits in Plainfield on the Willimantic Branch awaiting pickup from WONR. The 4004 is the former NYSW 4002, and one of the better looking standard cab B40s on the roster, in my humble opinion.

In pouring rain former Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway class 27 ('A' Class) locomotive 52322 departs Bolton Abbey on the Yorkshire Dales Railway with a permanent way train.

On Sunday morning we had an escorted tour of the P&W engine facility in Worcester, MA. 4301 is a former FEC SD70M-2 100 that has been repainted in the classy P&W scheme. Another unit was in the paint shop. Modifications to allow operation on the NEC include lowering the numberboards and moving the horn to the side of the long hood. The Photoshop "pole removal tool" was used in processing this image.

This next theme for PW was "elements" I know i didn't do one for air, but the dress looked odd in white.

Each dress is 90L, but you can get all 3 for 200.

I thought it was a great price since there are a ton of dresses out there for ONE colors thats over 200, so why not get 3 colors for the 200 instead? :P

Technically the new round does not start till monday, but my item is out now!

Yesterday I was surprised to look over the bridge at Middlewood and find 66 564 with a permanent way train sitting shut down and silent. I am unsure what users of the footpath crossing in the background are supposed to do.
